Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4-year old Rottie/Boxer mix that weighs about 65 pounds. She is beautiful gun metal grey with a brownish tint. She bonds very deeply like the Rottie to her person. She gets along with other dogs but she wants to be the only one for her particular person. She is on the quiet side as far as barking goes. She is lower on the shedding scale and has a nice soft coat. She has an adorable underbite. I think she would like to be a home body type dog and be around her person a lot. She would love her human to work from home or only work some days. She kennels up just by asking her to kennel up. She is very smart and takes direction well. She is a little shy in new settings and not all that interested in meeting new people. If you like the Rottie personality or the Dachshund personality you will like this dog. It is enjoyable to have a dog that is super loyal and not everybody’s dog. She would be great for an older single person or older couple that want a nice companion around the house. She would also be good for someone that is younger but more of a homebody time as well. She is super beautiful and is a head turner in looks. She is spayed, vaccinated and ready for her forever home. Left to herself in a world she had never experienced and doesn’t understand, Petunia was picked up as a stray shortly after 4th of July. Likely traumatized by the fireworks, scared by all the strange sights, sounds and smells in a high-kill shelter, she made it out alive only because the shelter staff recognized her strengths and worked hard to find a placement, and RED took a chance that the frightened, shutdown girl they met would blossom into a beautiful ambassador of her breed. While Petunia is still a work in progress, we would like to find a home where she can really blossom with training and further socialization. Petunia is 2-3 years old and small for a Rottie at 75 lbs. She knows basic commands and is crate trained. She has the intelligence of her breed and loves to play with her male foster brother. She is still scared of the big world and of strangers but she adjusts more quickly, and we believe she will eventually be that ambassador. Petunia needs a home with adults who are committed to training. She will not do well with children at this point and she has not been tested with cats. She will need a well-fenced yard where she can safely play fetch, which she loves. A yard with underground (Invisible) fencing will not be considered for placement. HI - I'M MORGAN, and I'm a large (90-pound-plus) 7-year-old handsome male Rottweiler in need of a home. When I walk into a room or down the street, I exude presence, and you'll surely get lots of looks with me by your side. I'm a very loyal Rottie and will be loving and protective to my person. I especially love women though would do fine with the right guy. I'm not fond of farm animals, and I'm also not a fan of some veterinarians. I do have some arthritis, so stairs do not work for me. I'm also bit flat-footed now and then, but nobody will notice. Rottweiler or big-dog experience is essential! I would do best with a single person or a couple who wants a loyal companion and who has experience with the breed. I would also do best in a quiet home where my person or people are my world. MEET RINGO! Ringo is a handsome and loyal 5-year-old Rottweiler in need of a forever home! He was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and currently is in a foster home, where he spends time with other canine pals. He was an owner surrender, though we don't know why because he's such a sweetheart! Ringo would do well with a person or people with Rottie or big-dog experience. Sometimes she waits by the door and falls asleep. *Potty Training: 90% accuracy! She's still a puppy, so she's continuing to learn, and Jeannie is doing well with it! Occasionally, she has an excitement pee, but it's improving. *Walks: Since her vaccinations aren’t complete, she's only taking light sniffs outside for now! *Hygiene: She doesn’t like baths, but she endures them well 🧼 *Car Sickness: She used to whine in the car, but it seems to be getting better. 💌 Special Notes💌 Since she is still young, training may be needed for separation anxiety, potty training, biting, whining, mischief, howling, and barking. Since her father is unknown, it's hard to predict shedding or her adult size. She doesn’t bark at all, but if she needs something, she whines softly. If you don’t give her food or don’t pay attention to her, she may let out a small “woof!” During her teething phase, she used to chew on baseboards and doorsteps, but after being redirected to toys, the frequency has decreased, and she’s also biting hands and feet less recently!
