FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing this sweet girl, Zelda! She is a 7-year-old, 80lb Rottweiler, who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding her forever home. Zelda is a sweet girl who would love nothing more than being by your side all day. She is incredibly polite, and as long as she has a cozy place to rest she’s content. Zelda does wonderfully in a kennel, and loves her naps through the day. She’s good on a leash, though she doesn’t always want other dogs coming up to say hello. Zelda does have some issues with resource guarding, and would probably prefer being an only dog or having an experienced owner. Without resources as an issue, she loves having other dogs around and playing a good game of chase! She loves her treats, but is still learning to take them gently from hands, so fingers beware! Zelda does super well in the car, and would be a great driving buddy to have. She’s still getting the hang of “fetch”, but loves chasing balls around the yard. Zelda does okay on stairs, but more than a few could be an issue as she can be quite clumsy. Zelda is a total sweetheart who wants to have her person that she can follow from room to room and share her love with. And if you’re lucky, once she feels comfortable with you you might be rewarded with some hoppy little tippy taps when she’s excited to see you. She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing this beautiful girl, Rihanna! She is a 2-year-old, 61 LB Rottweiler/Shepherd mix who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Rihanna is a very sweet and loving dog. She loves being with her person and bonds deeply, and most of all loves exploring with them. She will need some more work on leash training, as she is very strong. She will also require an adopter that can handle her strength if she chooses to pull towards something. Aside from needing some more basic obedience and leash training, Rihanna is a great dog! She loves rolling on her back for belly rubs, has one of the sweetest personalities, and will make an amazing adventure companion! Rihanna is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed. Her adoption fee is $450.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Give a warm welcome to this big teddy bear, Taz! He is a beautiful, 2-year-old, 75lb Rottweiler, who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Taz is a very sweet and loving dog who listens well to his handler and loves to go on walks. He loves to please his handler which is great for training purposes. He is incredibly cuddly for a big boy and loves to snuggle up with you. We believe he was in a home once, as he knows some basic commands already such as sit, down, and shake. He does well with other dogs and would be fine as an only dog or an additional dog to a home. He is going to make such a loyal companion to whoever ends up being his lucky adopter. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard for him. Taz is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
HI - I'M MORGAN, and I'm a large (90-pound-plus) 7-year-old handsome male Rottweiler in need of a home. When I walk into a room or down the street, I exude presence, and you'll surely get lots of looks with me by your side. I'm a very loyal Rottie and will be loving and protective to my person. I especially love women though would do fine with the right guy. I'm not fond of farm animals, and I'm also not a fan of some veterinarians. I do have some arthritis, so stairs do not work for me. I'm also bit flat-footed now and then, but nobody will notice. Rottweiler or big-dog experience is essential! I would do best with a single person or a couple who wants a loyal companion and who has experience with the breed. I would also do best in a quiet home where my person or people are my world. Please email for an application.

Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Animal Profile: Inky is an estimated 9-month-old, 40 lb female Rottweiler mix (DNA test of sibling shows 60% Rott) who was rescued from eastern Washington along with her littermates. We estimate she will be around 50-60 lbs when full grown. While her siblings have been adopted, Inky is still looking for a home. She has been learning the ropes of inside dogging while in foster care including house training and crate training. She is playful, smart and friendly with people and dogs. She will benefit from a loving family who will continue with her training and help her be the best dog she can be! Foster Update: Inky is a very sweet puppy. Her favorite thing in the world is to put one paw on either side of your neck and give you a big hug. She loves toys and carrying things around in her mouth. She is doing well with her potty training and learning basic obedience like sit, down, touch and come. In her foster home she enjoys playing with other dogs including three-way games of tug. She will thrive in an active home with plenty of attention and stimulation.  Trainer Evaluation Notes: Inky needs time to trust people for high pressure interactions such as wiping paws, belly rubs, etc. She has a submissive responsive (roll onto her back) and that is her cue that she's uncomfortable. She has low bite inhibition which we see in playful biting (too hard) and biting when she's feeling cornered; she likely did not learn bite inhibition as a young puppy and will need practice and training around this. Inky is very smart and social and eager to please and make connections with humans. Adopter Profile: Large breed experience required Other dogs OK (not required) Dog savvy cats considered Fenced yard preferred Older dog savvy children considered  Adoption Info: Inky's adoption fee is $550 which includes her spay, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Inky and her littermates were rescued from eastern Washington by SPDR in September 2024; as she is not a Doberman, Truffle was transferred to Dog Gone Seattle and is currently fostered and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. January 27, 2025, 2:41 pm
