FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Taz! He is a beautiful, 2-year-old, 75lb Rottweiler, who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Taz is a very sweet and loving dog, who listens well to his handler and loves to go on walks. He loves to please his handler which is great for training purposes. He is incredibly cuddly for a big boy and loves to snuggle up with you. We believe he was in a home once, as he knows some basic commands already such as sit, down, and shake. He does well with other dogs and would be fine as an only dog or an additional dog to a home. He is going to make an such a loyal companion to whoever ends up being his lucky adopter. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard for him. Taz is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing this sweet girl, Zelda! She is a 7-year-old, 80lb Rottweiler, who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding her forever home. Zelda is a sweet girl who would love nothing more than being by your side all day. She is incredibly polite, and as long as she has a cozy place to rest she’s content. Zelda does wonderfully in a kennel, and loves her naps through the day. She’s good on a leash, though she doesn’t always want other dogs coming up to say hello. Zelda does have some issues with resource guarding, and would probably prefer being an only dog or having an experienced owner. Without resources as an issue, she loves having other dogs around and playing a good game of chase! She loves her treats, but is still learning to take them gently from hands, so fingers beware! Zelda does super well in the car, and would be a great driving buddy to have. She’s still getting the hang of “fetch”, but loves chasing balls around the yard. Zelda does okay on stairs, but more than a few could be an issue as she can be quite clumsy. Zelda is a total sweetheart who wants to have her person that she can follow from room to room and share her love with. And if you’re lucky, once she feels comfortable with you you might be rewarded with some hoppy little tippy taps when she’s excited to see you. She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Animal Profile:  Poppy is a 2-year-old Rottie/Shepherd mix that is just as sweet as her smile. She already knows some commands and is eager to please. She has an easy going personality, and gets along well with other dogs.  Foster Update:  Poppy is a sweet, confident girl who seeks out human attention. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and hasn’t barked or been fearful of strangers or new people. She likes walks, yard time, and having another dog to play with. Poppy has a lot of energy and will do best with an active family as an only dog or with another other confident dog in her home. She instigates rough play with our resident dog who is more than twice her size and is not intimidated by him at all. She can be a bit much for shy, timid dogs or dogs who are much smaller than her. Poppy is very treat motivated and appears to be easy to train. She already knows sit, down, shake, and stay and does not jump on furniture or places she is not invited. She can be jumpy when meeting new people so that is a work in progress and older dog savvy kids will probably be best for her at this point. She is crate trained and appears to be potty trained with a regular schedule. Poppy walks well on leash with just a little pulling at times, but is easy to correct. Overall Poppy is a sweet, energetic girl who would love an active family and will probably do best with a fenced yard and adopters interested in continued training.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog is arriving from Caddo Parish Animal Shelter in Shreveport Louisiana via Tail Lights Rescue Project. He will be available for adoption in the Seattle area. November 3, 2024, 9:26 pm

Story
Just like the classic debate- Left Twix versus Right Twix... both sides together ARE THE BEST!!! I am the same way, I am sweet on one side and salty on the other- together we are perfect! I have a tale to tell, however, none of it matters anymore because I am here right now to tell you- the best is yet to come! I am a big love bug, and although I can be nervous at first- I settle in quickly to be just a big couch potato! I am good with other dogs and would love to have a friend for life in my forever home. I am good with calm older dogs, not much for puppy energy all.the.time... :) I love kids, and would be great with school aged/teenagers (and not many others LIKE teenagers so I can be their buddy :) and would be good in a calmer/quieter home. I want so much to please my family and will look to you for love and attention. I also need a strong leadership family- I have tried to take over control in my first adoptive home and it was not appreciated. SO, you need to be my boss, it's not hard- just let me know you are someone I can trust to keep me safe and take EXCELLENT care of me- with love and more love and I will LET you be in control. Simple as that :) I am a big boy, about 75#, with GORGEOUS colors and markings. I will melt your heart when you look into my amber eyes and into my sweet soul. So don't hesitate, ADOPT ME!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Prince.  This handsome boy was shot and left for dead in a dumpster.  Somehow this brave boy managed to crawl out.  When he was found he had curled up on a couch, gave up, waiting for death.  A volunteer was contacted and we rushed him to the vet. He was shot in the eye, the bullet grazed his brain and lodged in his chest.  He came in with a severe infection in both the eye.  After a week in the ICU, a plasma transfusion and eye removal he is ready for a new home.   Prince is great on a leash, absolutely loves people and is very friendly.  Playing in the water is a favorite hobby of his. However he is cat reactive and needs to be in a cat-free home.  He constantly wants to be with his people.  He will need a privacy or 6 foot fence where he can run safely. Prince was born around 11/2021 and he weighs 50 pounds.  HIs adoption fee is $300.  You can apply for Prince at www.adoggie4you.org.   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 3, 2024, 12:09 pm

Hi, I'm Kesha! I am a classy Rottweiler looking for my forever family! Now let me tell you a little about myself.... I was found out on the streets, skinny and sad with these HUGE marks all around my muzzle :( It is obvious to the rescuers that I had been bound around my mouth/muzzle for an extended point of time..... no words can express how sad and heartbroken this makes my rescue peeps feel, cause I am the BESTEST girl! Loving and smart and GREAT with EVERYONE I meet!! I have puppy-dog brown eyes that'll absolutely pull at your heart strings, so careful when I look up at you! I have the ability to melt you into jelly, so get ready to make me your NEWEST family member!! My rescue peeps will be very picky about my forever family, so get ready for the grilling :) BUT I AM SO SO WORTH IT. I have a LOVE for food that exceeds all others. I have been internally starving so long because my pancreas wasn't producing the enzymes my body needs to digest and use the nutrients in the foods I was eating........... Sooooo, I am starving and the time and no one better come into my food space (other dogs). We have had no problems at the rescue since she is kenneled to eat. Kesha has had a really horrible start to her life, lets all get together and make sure she gets the BEST NEXT CHAPTER!!! ADOPT.......>DON'T SHOP!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Cody is a 5 - 6 year old Boxer mix who is looking for a loving, active and structured forever home! He is sweet but had a rough beginning so will need a rescue experienced home that will help him build trust, learn basic obedience and gain confidence. He will bond to his people and loves attention and affection. He loves treats and is glad to work for them! He has not had a lot of training so will need support with continued basic obedience. He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 16. He will thrive in a home where he can be active, he loves to run around, go for walks, and would make an excellent outdoor activity partner. Cody can do well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. Cody would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, roam and play. Cody is UTD on shots, has had a dental, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing Greta! She is a 3-year-old, 60lb Doberman Pinscher who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Greta is very sweet, loving, and treat motivated girl. She has come to us extremely underweight so she will require a home that is dedicated to bringing her back to health and helping her thrive! She needs work on leash training and will need an adopter that can handle her strength, but would love a forever home that takes her on daily walks and has a yard for her to explore. Greta knows some basic obedience already, but of course would love to continue learning more! She would do best as an only dog in a home or with a laidback male around her size, no cats or small dogs. Greta is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.
