FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Give a warm welcome to Taz! He is a beautiful, 2-year-old, 75lb Rottweiler, who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Taz is a very sweet and loving dog, who listens well to his handler and loves to go on walks. He loves to please his handler which is great for training purposes. He is incredibly cuddly for a big boy and loves to snuggle up with you. We believe he was in a home once, as he knows some basic commands already such as sit, down, and shake. He does well with other dogs and would be fine as an only dog or an additional dog to a home. He is going to make an such a loyal companion to whoever ends up being his lucky adopter. We are looking for a home with a securely fenced yard for him. Taz is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $500.

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing this sweet girl, Zelda! She is a 7-year-old, 80lb Rottweiler, who came to us as a stray from an overcrowded shelter in CA in hopes of finding her forever home. Zelda is a sweet girl who would love nothing more than being by your side all day. She is incredibly polite, and as long as she has a cozy place to rest she’s content. Zelda does wonderfully in a kennel, and loves her naps through the day. She’s good on a leash, though she doesn’t always want other dogs coming up to say hello. Zelda does have some issues with resource guarding, and would probably prefer being an only dog or having an experienced owner. Without resources as an issue, she loves having other dogs around and playing a good game of chase! She loves her treats, but is still learning to take them gently from hands, so fingers beware! Zelda does super well in the car, and would be a great driving buddy to have. She’s still getting the hang of “fetch”, but loves chasing balls around the yard. Zelda does okay on stairs, but more than a few could be an issue as she can be quite clumsy. Zelda is a total sweetheart who wants to have her person that she can follow from room to room and share her love with. And if you’re lucky, once she feels comfortable with you you might be rewarded with some hoppy little tippy taps when she’s excited to see you. She is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.

Story
Hello, I'm Rumble! I'm a big lovable Rottie with a heart of gold for people!! According to my foster mom, I've got the heart of a big, playful puppy, and sometimes I forget that I'm a larger dog when I'm having a blast. So, if you have smaller dogs at home, we might just need a little adjustment period to get along famously. But here's the thing—when it comes to cats, I'm not the most purr-fect playmate, so if you've got a furry feline in the house, I might not be the ideal match. Now, if you believe you can provide me with a loving and caring home, please don't hesitate to apply today. And yes, I may be soaking up the Texas sunshine right now, but the good news is that I'm ready to hit the road and make my way to your heart and home. All it takes is a $230 transport fee, and I'll be on my way to becoming your loyal companion.Let's make it happen! Apply today, and let's embark on a journey of love and companionship together. Thank you for considering me for adoption! Online Application: https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41*Disclaimer: This pet is located in Texas. Once adoption is finalized the pet will be transported to the adopters location for an additional fee (currently $230-$250).* The adoption fee helps to cover some of the cost of vetting the animal prior to adoption (spay/neuter, microchipping, and up to date vaccinations). Please fill out an adoption application to be considered for adoption. https://service.sheltermanager.com/asmservice?account=ch2817&method=online_form_html&formid=41

Story
Animal Profile:  Poppy is a 2-year-old Rottie/Shepherd mix that is just as sweet as her smile. She already knows some commands and is eager to please. She has an easy going personality, and gets along well with other dogs.  Foster Update:  Poppy is a sweet, confident girl who seeks out human attention. She’s friendly with everyone she meets and hasn’t barked or been fearful of strangers or new people. She likes walks, yard time, and having another dog to play with. Poppy has a lot of energy and will do best with an active family as an only dog or with another other confident dog in her home. She instigates rough play with our resident dog who is more than twice her size and is not intimidated by him at all. She can be a bit much for shy, timid dogs or dogs who are much smaller than her. Poppy is very treat motivated and appears to be easy to train. She already knows sit, down, shake, and stay and does not jump on furniture or places she is not invited. She can be jumpy when meeting new people so that is a work in progress and older dog savvy kids will probably be best for her at this point. She is crate trained and appears to be potty trained with a regular schedule. Poppy walks well on leash with just a little pulling at times, but is easy to correct. Overall Poppy is a sweet, energetic girl who would love an active family and will probably do best with a fenced yard and adopters interested in continued training.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, and microchip with registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.  Apply Online: www.DogGoneSeattle.org/adoption-application Animal History:  This dog is arriving from Caddo Parish Animal Shelter in Shreveport Louisiana via Tail Lights Rescue Project. He will be available for adoption in the Seattle area. November 16, 2024, 11:45 pm

Story
Animal Profile: Truffle is an estimated 6-month-old 25 lb female Rottweiler mix (DNA test of sibling shows 60% Rott) who was rescued from eastern Washington along with her littermates. We estimate she will be around 45-50 lbs when full grown. While her siblings have been adopted, Truffle is still looking for a home. She has been learning the ropes of inside dogging while in foster care including house-training and crate training. She is playful, smart and friendly with people and dogs. She will benefit from a loving family who will continue with her training and help her be the best dog she can be! Foster Update: Truffle is a fun loving and full of life puppy. She is a quick learner who is eager to please and enjoys positive reinforcement training. She is currently working on Sit, Down, Touch and Spin. In a dog-friendly mall, she happily practiced her puppy obedience for my sister and brother in law, who she'd only met once before. She currently lives with two large dogs and a cat; she can be vocal in her playstyle and enjoys playing with your other dogs. Truffle has a big bark and isn't afraid to use it, but she responds well to redirection if asked. She is doing fantastic with house training, crate training at night, and riding in the car. She loves to be with her people, loves her toys and collecting them in her special places. She will thrive in an active home with plenty of attention and stimulation.   Adoption Info: Truffle's adoption fee is $550 which includes her spay, core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV, microchip, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: Truffle and her littermates were rescued from eastern Washington by SPDR in September 2024; as she is not a Doberman, Truffle was transferred to Dog Gone Seattle and is currently fostered and available for adoption in the greater Seattle area. November 18, 2024, 5:32 pm

Story
Meet Chili Dog! This sweet girl will steal your heart! After a rough start in life, Chili is healing and thriving! Chili is full of kisses, cuddles, and tail wags! She loves people, going on walks, running around outside, and car rides. Chili is great in the car! Even though she loves to be active, Chili is also content to lounge around inside. When her foster parents work from home, she's happy to lay on her dog bed near by their desk. Chili is getting better on the leash and responds to commands such as: sit, stay, and come. She is "treat motivated and seems to get with responding to commands daily. Chili is wonderfully fully potty-trained. Her foster parents are happy to report she's never once had an accident. Chili is also crate trained. She responds quickly when told to go in the crate, although she would rather just lounge on the bed. Chili does well with other dogs she has met. She loves to play and would likely do well with another active companion dog but she would also do well as an only dog. We do not know if Chili has been around kids, although when walked past a playground, she excitedly watches the children and wags her tail. Chili does not like cats and would do best in a home without them. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. To apply directly for Chili click the "Apply for Adoption" button. https://www.shelterluv.com/embed/animal/FODS-A-541 All our dogs come with 30 days of free post-adoption support through Petcademy.org. Story
HI - I'M MORGAN, and I'm a large (90-pound-plus) 7-year-old handsome male Rottweiler in need of a home. When I walk into a room or down the street, I exude presence, and you'll surely get lots of looks with me by your side. I'm a very loyal Rottie and will be loving and protective to my person. I especially love women though would do fine with the right guy. I'm not fond of farm animals, and I'm also not a fan of some veterinarians. I do have some arthritis, so stairs do not work for me. I'm also bit flat-footed now and then, but nobody will notice. Rottweiler or big-dog experience is essential! I would do best with a single person or a couple who wants a loyal companion and who has experience with the breed. I would also do best in a quiet home where my person or people are my world. Please email for an application.

These pups are in Brier, Washington too!

Story
FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED! Cody is a 5 - 6 year old Boxer mix who is looking for a loving, active and structured forever home! He is sweet but had a rough beginning so will need a rescue experienced home that will help him build trust, learn basic obedience and gain confidence. He will bond to his people and loves attention and affection. He loves treats and is glad to work for them! He has not had a lot of training so will need support with continued basic obedience. He is looking for a home that is adult only or with kids over the age of 16. He will thrive in a home where he can be active, he loves to run around, go for walks, and would make an excellent outdoor activity partner. Cody can do well with other dogs but it is always best to do proper introductions to make sure it is a good match and that all parties 'mesh'. Cody would do best in a home with a large fenced yard where he can run, roam and play. Cody is UTD on shots, has had a dental, is microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $400.

FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED Introducing Greta! She is a 3-year-old, 60lb Doberman Pinscher who came to us from an overcrowded shelter in CA. Greta is very sweet, loving, and treat motivated girl. She has come to us extremely underweight so she will require a home that is dedicated to bringing her back to health and helping her thrive! She needs work on leash training and will need an adopter that can handle her strength, but would love a forever home that takes her on daily walks and has a yard for her to explore. Greta knows some basic obedience already, but of course would love to continue learning more! She would do best as an only dog in a home or with a laidback male around her size, no cats or small dogs. Greta is UTD on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. Her adoption fee is $400.
