Story
Meet Dougie! This chill and affectionate pup is looking for a home. Dougie is a great leash walker. He sticks with his person and is great at following direction. Dougie will `sit` for treats and takes them very gently when offered. He is curious about toys but is much more interested in interacting with his person. Dougie likes to cuddle and then run around with the zoomies, he`s just so excited about being loved! He shows appropriate and playful behavior toward other dogs and would likely do well with a companion of similar temperament. Dougie would be a great addition to any family. Come in and meet him today!

Story
Elsa is an 8-year-old Rottweiler mix with a heart as big as her icy namesake’s spirit. Much like the queen of Arendelle, Elsa is strong, independent, and has a majestic presence. She may not have the power to summon snowstorms, but her loyalty and protective nature make her a force to be reckoned with. Elsa loves her family fiercely, offering endless affection and companionship, while maintaining a dignified composure. She enjoys her quieter moments, whether lounging in the sun or taking a leisurely stroll, but when she senses a loved one in need, she’s quick to spring into action. With a gentle soul and a loving heart, Elsa is the true embodiment of a queen in her own right, ruling her home with love and devotion.

Story
I’ve had Gamora for 6 years now and she is a lovely dog. Her birthday is Dec 20 2018 and I have had her since she was 6 weeks and it pains me to have to rehome but due to a new pregnancy, she needs as new home where she can get the attention she deserves. Gamora is a high energy dog so she loves walks, hikes and just being outside but at the same time she can also be very chill and would lounge in the house with no problem. I would say it is best if you have no cats because she is not a fan of cats and you will not want her to stress the cat out by chasing it all the time She loves people and is a very friendly dog, you do not have to worry about her liking you right away!

Story
*Update 2.0- Dallas was again adopted and returned when he became "too dependent" on his people. *Update - Dallas was adopted but returned after a nip to the adopter. Acclimation to a new home and family (especially a Rottweiler) takes weeks to months. He needs a patient family to take their tome building a relationship and taking things slow as he adjusts. Ask us for more information on his learned history from the recent home and strategies to help him settle in.  DALLAS is a new resident at VBACAC. He is just about 2 years old and a big boy weighing at 100lbs. We even know his birthday, April 22, 2022. Dallas was surrendered through no fault of his own but instead housing issues. He has lived with 6-year-old children with whom he was friendly and playful. Dallas was allowed to roam free in his home when left alone. He also loves his own doggie bed. He is house trained and loves to play with any kind of toy, balls, frisbees, squeaky toys, and tug toys. He is used to being walked a couple times daily and enjoys car rides and adventures.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 30, 2025, 11:03 am

Story
This big guy is Judd! He was transferred to us from one of our partner shelters and is looking for his forever home! Judd has made his way into his adult years and because of that he has started to develop some joint issues so the vets recommend he stay on some kind of joint supplement long term. Due to his size we are requiring that children in the home be 6 years old or older. Also, if you rent, keep in mind that many properties do not allow Rottweilers or large dogs. Judd has had a recent entropion repair which our kennel staff can discuss. If you have any questions please as a kennel technician!

Here’s a bio that could highlight Fudge’s wonderful qualities and make him even more irresistible to potential adopters: --- **Meet Fudge – The Cuddly, Playful Puppy Who's Ready to Find His Forever Home!** Say hello to Fudge, an adorable 5-month-old pup with the absolute cutest crooked ears we've ever seen. One is always forward, while the other is always back, giving him the most adorable look! Born in August 2024, Fudge is growing into a sweet, well-mannered boy who is sure to bring endless joy to the right family. He’s expected to weigh around 40 lbs when fully grown – the perfect medium-sized companion! Fudge is already crate-trained and making great progress with his house training. While he still needs a little supervision, he's a quick learner and is well on his way to being a perfect house guest. Fudge is all about the cuddles—he’s probably the most snuggly puppy you’ll ever meet, often curling up for long naps where he snores adorably like a grown man! But don't let his love for snuggle naps fool you; he’s also independent and enjoys chilling in the sunbeams and keeping himself entertained. This boy gets along beautifully with other dogs and is respectful of cats, making him an ideal companion in a multi-pet household. Fudge loves everyone he meets and will give a little bark to let you know someone new is at the door, but he’s friendly and social with all guests. Although he’s still a puppy and learning the ropes, Fudge is a smart cookie. He’s already doing fantastic with not mouthing, not chewing on inappropriate things, and doesn’t cause trouble around the house. He’s also great with car rides, baths, and nail trims – no fuss here! Fudge has no issues with food or toys, making him a low-maintenance and easygoing pup. Fudge is looking for a loving home where he’s not left alone all day and where his new family is ready to continue his training and give him the love and attention he deserves. He’s well on his way to becoming an amazing adult dog, and with a little guidance, he’ll thrive in a home that’s ready for his puppy energy and affection. Are you ready to welcome this sweet, cuddly boy into your family? Fudge can’t wait to meet you and share all the love he has to offer! --- Symbiotic Inc. has a required minimum $360 adoption donation upon the completion of the adoption (it is tax deductible!) All dog adoptions include a required one-hour virtual session with our partners at Lucky Dogs. This session is at no additional charge www.LuckyDogstraining.net If you think this dog may be a good fit for your family, please visit our website and learn more about our application process. https://symbioticinc.org/adoption-application
