Hey there! I’m Dunkin, but you can call me Dunky or Dunk-a-roo. I’m a two-year-old Rottie mix, and I’m here to steal your heart with my goofy, lovable personality. Weighing in at 63 pounds, I’m a big boy with an even bigger heart. I’m heartworm negative and incredibly smart—I’ve already learned hand signals for sit, lay down, and wait, thanks to the two little girls in my foster home who work with me daily. I’m doing great in my crate at night. I’ve only marked once in the house, and I’m very gentle with the girls, taking treats ever so softly. I’m also working on my leash manners, and I’m making great progress! I love belly rubs, kids, other dogs, and even the cat at my foster home. I’m crate trained, housebroken, and I don’t jump on furniture. My ideal home would be with an active family who has a large fenced-in backyard where I can play ball and tug-of-war. One thing to note—I have a bit of a weakness for stuffed animals. The kiddos have learned to put them away, or else they might disappear! If you’re looking for a smart, gentle, and loving companion, I’m your guy. I’m ready to make a family very happy! I’m currently being fostered in Virginia Beach, VA but can be transported to other states. If you’re interested in adopting me, please complete an adoption application. I can’t wait to meet you!

I got he from a Shelter in October 2023. He is about 4 years old. He needs to be in a home that is going to take good care of him. I am , getting a divorce and in the military, I have to go back to the barracks and cannot take him with me. He likes to lay in the sun and run around the house. Love to give kiss. He comes with food, leash, and kennel. He is Kennel trained I do not know if he is good with children or cats because I do not have any children or cats. He was with another dog for a little bit sometime they did get into frights. I need to re home by Dec 1 on I am going to have to take him to the shelter.
