*Update 2.0- Dallas was again adopted and returned when he became "too dependent" on his people. *Update - Dallas was adopted but returned after a nip to the adopter. Acclimation to a new home and family (especially a Rottweiler) takes weeks to months. He needs a patient family to take their tome building a relationship and taking things slow as he adjusts. Ask us for more information on his learned history from the recent home and strategies to help him settle in.  DALLAS is a new resident at VBACAC. He is just about 2 years old and a big boy weighing at 100lbs. We even know his birthday, April 22, 2022. Dallas was surrendered through no fault of his own but instead housing issues. He has lived with 6-year-old children with whom he was friendly and playful. Dallas was allowed to roam free in his home when left alone. He also loves his own doggie bed. He is house trained and loves to play with any kind of toy, balls, frisbees, squeaky toys, and tug toys. He is used to being walked a couple times daily and enjoys car rides and adventures.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 5:51 pm

Story
BOOGIE - 1-5 years old, 8 pounds, rottweiler personality, active, driven BOOGIE is a big boy who is friendly but he is also driven with that specific Rottweiler instinct and personality. Please do your research on this breed before considering adoption.  *Boogie loves to play and he loves to learn. Training is a great way to focus your dog's mind, attention, energy. Get his mind working and keep him mentally stimulated. *He has shown resource guarding behaviors which is manageable but you mustn be willing to work with this and remain aware. *He can get mouthy in excitement and sometimes reactive towards new people so slow and proper introductions are needed. Once you are in his friend group, be ready for a comical goof! *If you are already experienced with this breed and are interested in Boogie, come on out to meet him!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 18, 2024, 10:52 am

Story
Hello there, I`m Olive! I`m an adult dog with a heart full of joy. I love to play and I`m always up for a game of fetch or a good belly rub. My days are filled with chasing imaginary squirrels and dreaming about long walks. I`m a social butterfly and I enjoy the company of humans and other animals alike. My tail wags at the speed of light when I see a friendly face. I`m a good listener too, always ready to lend an ear to anyone who needs it. I`m the perfect companion for someone who loves to laugh and play. Adopt me and let`s make memories filled with love, laughter, and endless games of fetch!

Kids dont bother us, other chill dogs are no issue either, and we`re both potty trained. We`re also part of the `Best Buds` adoption program where you pay one adoption fee for the both of us like a BOGO! Please someone adopt us two spunky seniors together, we`re the best boys ever! The kennels here are almost full and now would be a great time to adopt. Not ready to adopt? Story
Herbie is a lovable 70-pound Boxer mix with a heart full of gold. About a year old, he was found wandering the back roads of Tennessee without a collar or microchip, battling a tough case of mange. While no one has come forward to claim him, Herbie is now looking for his forever family! His skin is healing beautifully, and his sweet, curious nature shines through more each day. ‍&#226&#153&#130&#239&#184&#143 Herbie enjoys his daily walks and is getting better at leash manners. He’s also learning to curb his excitement when greeting people! He’s great with other dogs and, after playtime, is happy to sit quietly by your side. He hasn’t been tested with cats or kids yet, but we think his gentle personality would be a great match for the right home! Critter Cavalry Rescue is a Middle Tennessee-based 501(c)(3) that travels to the Northeast states weekly, helping high-risk homeless animals like Herbie find loving homes. For more info on our mission, adoption fees, and drop-off points, visit us at CritterCavalry.com! &#226&#156&#168 Could your family be the one Herbie's been waiting for? &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com to request an adoption application.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 11, 2024, 7:28 pm
