Story
Sweet, silly sidekick reporting for duty, its Mary Puppins! This girl is a happy-go-lucky, people-loving girl with just the right balance of playful energy and laid-back charm. Estimated to possibly be right around three years old, she weighs right around 50 lbs, and we can’t decide on what we see in her breed wise. Someone said little rottie, another said big beagle, we see black mouth cur… this is where we just acknowledge that rescue is our favorite breed and a Texas special is top-tier catch. If you know of a breed that is characterized by a wiggly butt, a light up smile and a big ol’ loving heart that’s what she is- 100%! Take a look at see what you think- https://youtu.be/Ej6XO1idkh0 Mary is fostered in a home with multiple dogs, including two Great Danes, an English bulldog, and two foster pit bulls. Mary has proven herself to be incredibly dog-social, playful, and adaptable. She meets new dogs with a happy submissive approach, think - tail wagging and friendly curiosity. She reads dogs well and will roll over on her back to show a dog that she is not a threat, which helps show her relaxed and ready to play vibe. As much as she enjoys playing with other dogs she is also happy doing her own thing whether that is wandering around the yard or playing with a toy. Seeing her connections with dogs she has met and the dogs in her foster home we can say her ideal dog-match would be a medium-energy male who can match her in play but respect her space when she needs it. Thanks to Mary’s dedicated foster we know that she is crate-trained, she currently sleeps in her crate at night and while her foster is away from the house. She is quiet ,both in and out of her crate, and will happily go to her crate when asked. Her foster mom shared that Mary has grown to expect her meals in her crate which is encouraged to fosters with multiple dogs including multiple fosters. We expect that she will carry that routine into her forever home. She is also house-trained and has not had an accident in the house. Once she arrives home she will need a tour of her potty places but comes with a solid base to work from. On top of that, she is great on leash and responsive to gentle correction. We were impressed watching her leash skills with a new handler, she walks at an easy pace, checks in often, and stays by your side. Mary does not live with kids in her foster home but has met kids during outings and when guests have come over and she has done well with them. She is joyful and enthusiastic when meeting new people and is still learning how to control that wiggly booty, so older kids who won’t easily be knocked over by her joy would be best. While she loves a good wrestling session, game of fetch, of a blast of zoomies Mary isn’t non-stop energy. She gets the wiggles out, then chills out. Because of that, she could thrive in either a house with a yard or an apartment, as long as she gets regular walks and chances to be social. Mary Puppins is a solid, easy-to-love, easy-to-live-with kind of dog. Great with people, respectful with other dogs, and full of personality—she’s the kind of pup who just needs a soft place to land and a human (or two) to share her big-hearted joy with. Expect love, full-body tail wags and excited greetings everyday with Mary! Questions? Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Story
Rowie Bowie is his name and delivering love and laughs is his game. If you are looking for a dog that feels like he has always been yours, you have found him! He has an old-mans soul and is just easy to have around. Take a few minutes to watch his video to see him in action then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/YhzQVC2iW2I Breed and birthday are details we cannot know/guarantee with a rescue dog and Rowie Bowie is no exception. Does he look a little like a Rottweiler? Yes! Is he as big as one? No way, this boy weighs 45 lbs. Off nothing but a visual, I’m going to say I think he is a shepherd/rottie mix, maybe 5-6 years old. That age is my favorite! Most dogs are more couch-potato than weekend warrior and Rowie is no exception. He is happy to just be. Napping on the couch, a little after dinner stroll or hanging with the kids, Rowie is up for it—as long as it’s low-key. He’s currently living in an apartment and doing great. He’s well-mannered indoors, is both house and crate trained, doesn’t bark and is relaxed when his foster is away during her work day. When it's time for potty breaks he is a gentleman, he waits to be leashed up and is just a breeze on leash, no pulling or rushing here.
We introduced Rowie to a variety of dogs and he calm meeting new friends but is otherwise mostly aloof. He coexists without fuss and doesn’t seek out much interaction with other dogs. He could easily be a happy solo dog or the +1 to an equally chill dog. He shared toys without issue, even with several on the floor, and consistently kept a relaxed vibe. We are saying a feline-free home is best for Rowie. He was a bit too interested for us and it's easy to see he might chase a cat in the home.
Rowie loves people and is incredibly friendly, including with kids! He was gentle and sweet meeting a 4 year old and minded his commands beautifully. What I loved most about his time with Kobe the 4 y/o was that Kobe was enjoying a slice of cheese pizza, walking around with it just in his hands and even though Rowie was right there, nose repeatedly so close, he didn’t once try to sneak a bite or even a sniff of his pizza. When he finally did share a bite with Rowie, he was so gentle taking it from his hand. That is impressive! This boy loves affection but is not overly clingy and definitely appreciates being part of the family. You’ll usually find him posted up on the couch, just watching the world go by, waiting for his next short stroll or belly rub. He is The ultimate "hang out and chill" companion. If you’re looking for a low-maintenance, loving pup with some hilarious fun guy energy, Rowie Bowie is ready to curl up next to you and assume the role of your best sidekick yet. Questions? Good news, I’m already housetrained and ready for my forever home! I love my other puppy friends but I’m not too sure about the kitty cats, they are a bit scary! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Urzila! I’m a gorgeous 2-year-old, 85lb female Rottweiler, and I’m looking for my forever family! I’m a very sweet and special girl. I am a nice, moderate energy. I love to chase my ball and play with toys. I love to take walks and then snuggle on the couch. I love my people so much. I’m a very affectionate girl. Are you the type who likes a weighted blanket? Because I AM a weighted blanket! And I’m thrilled to share my warmth with you. I am fine with most dogs, but would be happiest as an only pup. My housemates try to get me to play and I really have no interest in any of that. But I LOVE when my people pay attention to me! I like smaller humans, too, but I’m big and a bit clumsy, so kids over 10 would probably be best for me. When I came to my foster mom she noticed I had some funny behaviors, mostly that I bounced in a very cute (but uncommon) way. She thought it looked like I was dancing! We went to the vet and he said I have a neurological deficit that gives me my funny walk and makes me a bit clumsy. It also makes me a little less tolerant of dogs with energy I don’t enjoy. There are no ongoing medical issues, I’m a happy, healthy girl! It does take me a bit longer to learn things, but (lucky for you!) I’m already completely potty trained, fabulous in my crate and have nice house manners. Do you think I could be the girl for you? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! My name is Mahonia but my foster family calls me MoMo. I’m about 2 and a half years old and 40 pounds of fun-loving, goofy pup who is looking for someone to share a happy life with. Could that be you? I’m not sure what my breed is, but there are definitely several in the mix! My foster parents say that if there were one word to describe my personality, it would be HAPPY. Everything makes me happy! I’m happy when I get to go for a walk and happy when I get to hang out at home with my people. I’m happy when I get to chew on a bone in my kennel and happy when I go outside to potty or prance around the yard. I’m happy when my foster siblings play with me and happy when I get to lay on a soft bed for a nap. My foster parents say I even make them feel happy, especially when I do that thing with my ears where one stands up and the other flops over, which is often. Some other cool things about me are that I really like my kennel and will hang out there while you go to work without ever complaining. I am GREAT with other dogs and would love a doggy sibling to play with. I do well with dog savvy cats, and get along with chickens. Training me is very easy because I am eager to please you. I might take a moment to warm up to new people, but once I know you are going to be nice to me, I’ll dedicate myself to becoming your best friend. Young children can make me nervous with their unpredictability, but I like older kids who I can trust. I’m extremely loyal to the people I trust, which is won easily with a little patience, kindness, and perhaps a few treats. If you are looking for a companion to make you smile and entertain you with silly antics, then I’m your girl. Apply to meet me today!  https://rescuerovers.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=4087 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 1, 2025, 12:25 pm

Story
Mina is a sweet dog, and we love her very much. She is about 10 years old. We got her from the humane society when she was 4, and she has always had some minor behavioral issues. She loves to sleep, but also enjoys being very active. She does not like other dogs or children. We are heartbroken to have to give her up, but she has started to become aggressive towards our toddler. A few weeks ago, she had a particularly stressful day and attacked our child, which is why we can no longer keep her in our house. If you don't have any children or other pets, Mina is an excellent companion.

Story
Rico is a happy, playful pup and a great kisser! We think he may be a Doberman / Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! At 7 months old and under 30 lbs, we think Rico will weigh less than 50 lbs when full grown, a perfect, medium-sized family dog. With a spunky joy in his step and a nose for adventure, Rico leads the charge in games and playtime, turning every moment into a fun-filled romp. Whether he’s chasing after his siblings or bounding around with endless energy, his enthusiasm is contagious! Watch Rico's video here: https://youtu.be/fYh86J-1fOI Want to know what his favorite toy is? EVERY toy! That's the kind of boy he is—full of enthusiasm and joy, living very much in the present moment. Good with cats? He sure is! He lives with two young cats who are his pals, plus one older cat who wants nothing to do with him. He has high respect for the grumpy older cat and stays away. Okay, let's be honest: He's scared of grumpy cat. Can you blame him? Cats are sharp! Good with children? Yes! His current human besties are 4, 6, and 12 years old and he thinks they are the bee's knees! Good with dogs? You bet! He is psyched to wrestle, chase, and zoom with pals! But don’t let his fun party side fool you—after all the excitement, Rico loves nothing more than curling up with his favorite humans or snuggling with his siblings for a cozy nap. He has a soft spot for giving sweet puppy kisses and spreading love wherever he goes. With his playful puppy antics and affectionate nature, Rico is the perfect mix of fun and cuddles! Rico is a smart little guy too. He is already potty trained and crate trained, giving him a solid foundation for you to build on. Because he is dog, kid, and cat friendly, he would be an easy addition to any family. He would do best in a home with a yard where he can run, play, and sunbathe to his heart's content. Are you looking for a little extra sunshine in your life? An adorable ball of positivity and verve to make you laugh every single day? Then Rico is your little man! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/67d8b0b6ff3d4146060ab737 Please email Hailee@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Meet Sockhop! The cutest kid in town with the best playful energy! He’s a growing boy and is motivated to learn all of the things! He is getting trained in his foster home to be the bestest friend ever! Did someone say crate trained?? Oh yeah! He is a stylish guy with socks on all 4 feet and rocks a bandana like no other! He is full of love and ready for his future family to find him! We believe Sockhop is a boxer mix around 6 months old and weighs approximately 35 pounds. He still has some room to grow and is sporting the best lanky limbs in this phase! Due to him being a rescue, age and breed cannot be guaranteed. But what we can’t guarantee in genetics, we can guarantee in love! This boy loved to be around every single person he met while he was visiting us and every single person loved to be around him! Check out Sockhop here: https://youtu.be/771PR4bKdB8 Sockhop is fortunate enough to be fostered in a home setting which is awesome! This is a great source of enrichment as he waits for his forever family. It provides structure and a sort of example of what it is like to live in a home when he gets adopted! It’s obvious he is comfortable being around dogs because he effortlessly meshed with all of the new friends we introduced him to when he was with us! He met a couple of friends with various temperaments out in the yard and was ready to play with all of them! He tended to hang around the dogs with higher energies over the more docile friends! He is definitely a guy that wants to be where the party's at! He would do well in a home with another medium energy pup that can bring the fun and run but also settle down and chill as well! Sockhop is definitely a bundle of fun and wants everyone around him to know it! He wants even his feline friends to know what it’s like to play and run! Due to his joy and love for an exciting play life, Sockhop will do best in a home that doesn’t have any cats. We want to make sure that every animal in the home appreciates the love that Sockhop gives! He has that puppy heart that wants to show affection to anyone who is willing to receive it! We believe that he would do well with older children who know how to properly enrich and handle a bouncing puppy boy! He would also do best in a home with a yard over an apartment so that he could get his zoomies out! What I loved about Sockhop is how easily he settled down once we came inside. He didn’t try to continue being a ball of energy. He showed me that he knows how to balance his excitement and even offered to lay down on the couch with me. He was showing off his “sit” and “lay” and made it apparent that he will be the one to get an A+ in puppy training school. He would be a great guy to take out on adventures because of how trainable he is! He is young and full of life and will be a great addition to his future family! Does Sockhop sound like your guy? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
