Story
Meet Riches, Our Sweet Shy Girl!Riches is a 1-2-year-old female Rottweiler who’s been through a lot, but is slowly learning to trust again. She was surrendered to us after a tough start, coming from an abusive situation along with her friend Raggs, who luckily got pulled by another rescue. Sadly, all the Rottweiler rescues were full, but that didn’t stop Riches from showing us just how amazing she really is.She’s a total goofball when it comes to squeaky toys – I mean, who can resist those? And she’s a huge fan of sniffaris, which are basically just walks where she gets to sniff around and explore at her own pace. It’s one of the ways she’s learning to feel more comfortable in the world. Plus, she LOVES pets. She’s all about that cozy, snuggly life once she knows you’re cool.We recently took her on a Dog Day Out to Landa Park, and it was eye-opening! We found out she’s actually a pretty shy girl, which makes sense given her past. She’s still learning to trust and understand the world around her, but she’s definitely making progress.Riches is looking for someone who can be patient with her while she continues to open up. She’s got so much love to give – she just needs the right person to show her that she’s safe. If you’re into squeaky toys, leisurely sniffing walks, and offering lots of gentle pets, Riches might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to find a home where she can truly feel like she belongs. 💕HSNBA lists all animals online from the moment of intake, and our listings are updated automatically every midnight. Story
Introducing the 2 year old beauty, Bertha! Bertha is a lovely girl. She is very easy to leash and to walk, and takes her time to go slow and sniff around. She will frequently check in with you, so she is sure to make leash training and strolls in your neighborhood enjoyable for you both!Volunteers and Staff describe her temperament as “soft, and attentive.” She pays attention to her person, and likes being around human friends, so we think she could make a good work from home partner. She is also very smart. When you meet her bring a treat, because she would love to show off her ability to Sit for you.Bertha came into AAC with some scrapes and cuts that our Vet Staff is working to heal. Despite this, her spirit is steady – She remains optimistic, affectionate and eager for a loving home. We hope she gets a home where she’ll be properly spoiled and can heal in comfort as she starts her new leash on life with you.
