Baxter is a 4 year old, 63 lbs, Rottweiler/Lab mix. He was adopted as a puppy and was surrendered by his owner due to personal life changes. He’s such a sweet boy and is great with other dogs, house trained, walks well on leash, and is crate trained. Baxter loves to play with toys and chew bones. This gentle Rottie mama came to us after being left behind at BARC when another rescue took her puppy but not her. We couldn’t let that be the end of her story. From the moment we met her, her calm, loving spirit won us over. Ceylon is wonderful with other dogs, confident and loyal — exactly what you’d expect from her breed. She’s well-mannered, keeps her kennel clean, and loves soft affection (and treats!). She’s about 5 years old and would thrive in a home where she can finally relax and be someone’s cherished companion. She is heartworm positive, which is common here, but she’s already in treatment, will be just fine, and it’s not contagious to pets or people. This girl deserves a home, not a kennel.
