Frankie is a good boy with some special needs. Because of past trauma and abuse, he prefers a woman only home with no kids or pets. He is currenlty workingthrough fear reactivity and touch sensitivity. With the right home and patience, we know Frankie can thrive!October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Ellie (short for Eleven) is the silliest goofball with the sweetest smile. Ellie is literally the perfect family dog but has sadly been overlooked due to her size and color. Her previous owners were going to euthanize her, but our rescue felt that she deserved a chance so we stepped in.    Ellie has been waiting to be adopted since September 2023 and she has never received an application. She has been a fantastic, easy houseguest in each of her foster homes and everyone quickly falls in love with her fun personality.    She is fully house trained and nondestructive in home. She is SUPER dog friendly and currently lives with 3 other dogs. She lived with kids and was so gentle and loving.   As a medium energy dog, she is an awesome exercise buddy and loves to go on walks or runs, but she also loves to chill with you on the couch watching a movie. She is often seen snuggling her favorite stuffed animal toys.    Ellie deserves to finally find the forever family of her dreams!    Ellie is currently fostered in Austin TX but transportation is available to adopters anywhere in the USA.       October 14, 2024, 3:59 pm

Story
Meet Chili Dog! This sweet girl will steal your heart! After a rough start in life, Chili is healing and thriving! Chili is full of kisses, cuddles, and tail wags! She loves people, going on walks, running around outside, and car rides. Chili is great in the car! Even though she loves to be active, Chili is also content to lounge around inside. When her foster parents work from home, she's happy to lay on her dog bed near by their desk. Chili is getting better on the leash and responds to commands such as: sit, stay, and come. She is "treat motivated and seems to get with responding to commands daily. Chili is wonderfully fully potty-trained. Her foster parents are happy to report she's never once had an accident. Chili is also crate trained. She responds quickly when told to go in the crate, although she would rather just lounge on the bed. Chili does well with other dogs she has met. She loves to play and would likely do well with another active companion dog but she would also do well as an only dog. We do not know if Chili has been around kids, although when walked past a playground, she excitedly watches the children and wags her tail. Chili does not like cats and would do best in a home without them. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. Story
Chavo has the hearts of everyone at he meets, including his dog foster sibling, and it's not just because he's the most handsome dog! "I love Chavo because he's the best adventure buddy!" says Ana, a volunteer and long time Chavo friend. Other reviews from friends include "perfect gentleman" "quite chill and friendly" "people person" "I love Chavo". His dog walker reports that "he's the easiest walk of my day!" While he is a social butterfly, he likes to carefully meet each best friend to make sure they start out on the right foot. This well rounded boy walks well on leash and has amazing manners in the home. Some of Chavo's favorite adventures include splashing around in the baby pool, hiking the trails, and playing soccer! Chavo is playful with his friends, but he can also settle independently and without supervision. Chavo is a mature pup who is well potty-trained, sleeps through the night, and loves dogs and cats alike. This scholarly boy is also fine tuning his skills in training classes at Every Dog Behavior and Training. Email now to find out more about Chavo and talk to his foster!

Story
Hi, my name is Bellatrix, and I'm a gorgeous Rottweiler looking for my forever home! I came to APA pregnant, and they took amazing care of me during that time. Now that my puppies are all grown up, I'm ready to find a family of my own. Staff and volunteers have been having a great time getting to know me, and I'm excited to show off more of my sweet personality. I'm a calm, easygoing girl who loves to go for walks. I'm a loose leash walker, which makes me a perfect potential running partner or hiking buddy. I also enjoy sniffing out new places and exploring my surroundings. I'm charming, gentle, and a pleasure to be around! Please come meet me, or click on the inquiry links on my profile to learn more about me. I can't wait to meet my new family!

Story
Hi all. We are looking to rehome Toast. She is a cattle dog, Doberman, Great Pyrenees mix. She is about 7-8 months old and weighs about 50lbs. She is up to date on shots. She knows sit, down, wait, off, and out. She is great during car rides. Good during baths. She semi likes water and will chomp at the hose. An ideal home for her would be with a large yard or plot of land! She is good with other dogs and cats! She listens and will bark at anything she deems suspicious. She is young and is capable of learning lots! Why I’m rehoming: we got her as a rescue since she was a part of a litter dump. Her and her entire litter had mange so it took us about 2.5-3 months to fully cure her and for her to fully recover! We can’t keep up with keeping another dog especially a puppy. Toast is very puppy like! Full of energy, teething, but the most silly and bubbly girl.

Story
Athena was adopted in October of 2015 when I was in college. She has made it through many moves and life changes. She is now a sweet old lady who just wants to live out the rest of her days in the comfort of a loving home. She has been well cared for, well loved and cherished. She would need to be the only pet in the home but does amazingly with people. She has been around kids before and does well with them. My parents have been keeping her for the past year and can no longer do it. I would take her back but my husband is severely allergic. She is very smart and well house trained.

Story
Ruger was rehomed as a puppy to our family after being adopted by a friends son who was heading to college and could no longer take care of him. We recently moved with him from Texas to Florida and have a much smaller yard. With him being so active, he needs a home with plenty of space to run and chase birds. He loves tug of war and playing chase. Currently Ruger will be 4 in February. He does great with other animals once acclimated.
