Story
Dende (pronounced Den Day) is about 10 years old and spent the whole first 1.5 years of his life in a shelter in Arkansas. He’s lives with me ever since then, with another adult male dog and several cats. You’d think that would make him pretty fluent in dog, but he speaks much better human. He has square hips, which I think make throwing play bows difficult for him, which in turn occasionally confuses other dogs about his rambunctious intent. He loves cats, and other dogs, but humans are his favorite, especially children. He will bark at a knock on the door, but it’s just because he’s so excited to meet a potential new friend, or say hello to an old one. No guarding or food aggression, though he used to exhibit minor leash aggression but has not displayed any in several years. His favorite past time is sleeping and being pet. If he feels he’s not being pet enough, he will start to pet you. Oh and movies. He LOVES watching movies. Prey is his favorite.

We adopted Jenny at 3 months old at the big shelter in Georgetown. She energetic, loves chew bones, is a good eater, and is super social at the dog park. She’s been bark trained and seldom barks. She does really well with my 14-year-old dog in the pictures, and has probably given her some years back because of the companionship. We need to find Jenny another home because I recently become a single mother and have two other aging animals who need more specialized care. She also is obsessed with playing with our older cat, who doesn’t appreciate her playful nature. Jenny is very trainable and needs an owner who can keep her active and socialized. This dog needs a job! Her birthday is 5/10/24.
