Story
Hey there! I'm Major, a 4-year-old Rottweiler-Shepherd mix with a heart full of love to give. My journey brought me to this wonderful shelter after I wandered into someone's yard. Despite extensive efforts to find my previous owners, no one came forward. So now, I'm on the lookout for my forever home! Let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm a well-behaved, potty-trained pup who loves to play and have fun. I'm also great at letting you know when someone is visiting – you'll never miss a guest with me around! My friendly nature and boundless energy make me a fantastic companion for any family. Plus, I'm already neutered and up to date on all my vaccines, so I'm all set to join my new family right away. I have so much love left to give, and I'm ready to share it with my new family. If you're looking for a loyal, playful, and loving companion, come meet me today! I can't wait to find my forever family and start our new adventure together. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 #AdoptMajor #ForeverHome #RescueDog Contact Information: For more details or to arrange a meet-and-greet with Major, please contact us at: Email: adopt@orangeburgspca.org or aro.spca@outlook.com Phone: 803-536-3918 Address: 225 Rud Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118 Website: orangeburgspca.org Facebook: Orangeburg SPCA Instagram: @orangeburgspca_  October 26, 2024, 2:55 am

Story
This precious girl is Giverny, a 4-year-old rottie mix who was found as a stray in the worst shape. Giverny was adopted from a local shelter as an 8-week-old puppy and found herself in that same shelter 4 years later, on the brink of death. She was skin and bones, had severe mange and infections to the point where she couldn't even open her mouth to eat. She was rushed to the vet and in their care for weeks, recovering from infections, being fed with a feeding tube, had to be monitored 24/7, and was just so weak. A couple of weeks later and this sweet dog is now thriving in foster. She has a new lease on life, is happy and so affectionate. Her foster describes her as the sweetest dog that they have ever met! She is still working on growing her fur back and will need a dedicated adopter to aid in her recovery going forward! She is completely house trained, leash trained, crate trained, has learned some basic commands such as sit and shake, and is just the most perfectly behaved girl! She loves other dogs and is good with kids. Giverny loves going on walks, but most of all she loves a nice warm bed and some belly rubs. Giverny's rough start has left her with some lasting effects. She has Pemphigus and will need a family that will be dedicated to her medical needs. Giverny is going to make a wonderful best friend to anyone looking to fill their home with unconditional love! We promised Giverny that the rest of her life, would be the best of her life. Could that be with you? ***APPLY TO ADOPT: finalvictoryrescue.com*** We provide meet-and-greets by appointment with an application on file.

Story
Meet Polly *Waived Adoption Fee Polly was found back in May of 2022 in the middle of a busy highway, eating a cardboard moving box in the rain. She was emaciated, her eyes were badly infected, and her hair was patchy... where she had hair it was very thin and badly damaged. However, she was as sweet as pie and just wanted love and food. During her recovery, she blew out her coat and now has a luscious thick coat that anyone would love. Polly has had a very hard life so far, but you would never know it with her sweetheart attitude. She is happy to follow you around and has good off-leash manners. She has become accustomed to her routine in her foster home. She is very smart and is house and crate-trained. She does well on the leash and has obedience training. She is also quiet and will let you know when she needs to go potty with a single bark. Polly would be happy to spend all of her time with you, relaxing. Due to Polly’s difficult life up until this point, we think she would be best in a only-dog home. Polly does have aches and pains at times due to arthritis. It is manageable with joint supplements and carprofen on select bad days. For this reason we do recommend a child free home although she's been amazing with kids. She should go to an experienced owner who understands her breed and her health limitations. As her back can hurt, she understandably needs a break, especially if she is very active that day. She does not like people in her face. Polly is a very loving and intelligent dog. She will go to her crate when she needs a break but loves to be loved. Please consider giving Polly the wonderful home that she truly deserves.

Story
Hi my name is Gainey! I was rescued by a good Samaritan and brought to Pawmetto Lifeline. I had been roaming the streets and for the first time someone cared what happened to me. I love to go for walks and do well on a leash.....pool time is my very favorite! Give me a kiddie pool some toys and I can entertain myself for quite some time. I am sometimes selective about my dog friends, so slow introductions are a must. I was beat up by a larger dog before I came to Pawmetto so I am a bit nervous. I would do better in a home with children over 12 years old and a family that is active! I'm a bit of a runner, so keeping me on a leash is key!---My adoption fee of $50 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! I will also have a free yearly exam and core vaccines for the rest of my life with the Wetness Clinic. What more could you ask for?If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.
