Story
Meet Emmett! He was found abandoned after his heartless people moved and left him behind. Emmett is fostered with other dogs and 1 child under 10 who is dog smart. A child who may be scared of a 90 lb dog or get knocked down may not be the best option. Emmett is almost 1 year old. He is very playful and affectionate. He gets along with other dogs and has been fine with the fosters cat. He loves to play fetch. He does well in a crate if needed and seems to be house trained. We are requiring a secure fence for him and would prefer a home with a dog he can play with. Neuter, vaccines, microchip provided.

Story
My ex acquired Leo as a puppy and when things didn't work out I offered to keep him until he could get on his feet. It has been a year and a half and that has not been the case. Unfortunately, I have now started a family that has allergies and cannot help me care or give Leo the attention that he needs. He is 6 years old, but still has a lot of puppy energy! He is a great guard dog and loves to take all the attention you can give him. I believe he would do great with a single person/couple or a family with older kids that will not jump or poke at him when he is resting as he likes to not be disturbed when napping. He is sensitive when it comes to clipping his nails and will require extra care in this department. He has had all his initial shots, but will need anything that requires annual boosts.

Story
Hi, I`m Cody! You might call me a Rottweiler mix, but I just call myself a lovable, loyal best friend. I’ve got a heart as big as my paws and my tail nub that never seems to stop wagging especially when you walk through the door. I love exploring the world around me, whether it’s a walk in the park or a nap in the sun. I’m an expert in belly rub appreciation and treat sniffing, and I’ve been told my big eyes can melt hearts in seconds. I’m playful when the time is right and calm when you need a snuggle buddy. People say I’m a good mix of silly and sweet, but I just think I’m Cody your soon to be favorite companion.I am house trained and love other dogs! I love kids but I am a bit big for the little ones! I tried to play with the resident cats but they just hissed and ran away! Here are a few notes from his recent foster:Other notes:- Cody is a bit of a counter surfer as his head is counter level- He is not 100% house broken; he will let you know he has to go out by standing at the door but otherwise will go when needed- Favorite toys are soft and squeaky or hard nylon chews- big bark - very protective- Enjoys outside and backyard play- knows `sit` command- Great with other dogs- Likes cats (although he wants to play with them and they usually don`t want to play with him)- likes kids (especially their toys) however he is clumpy and big and might bowl over small kids- he is very high energy when he first got to our home. Took about 5 days for him to start chilling out and cuddling more. Lots of zoomies the first 5 days.My adoption fee of $300 includes up-to-date vaccinations, dewormer, and heartworm/flea prevention. Plus, a microchip that is already registered to you! What more could you ask for?If you`d like to meet me, please fill out an application on our website, PawmettoLifeline.org. Adoptions are by appointment Tuesday through Thursday, Friday and Saturday are walk in from 10-5. Please fill out the online application, and you will be contacted if you are approved and are a good fit for one of our adoptable pets.

Story
Ryder is a 2 year old pure bred rotty. He was acquired from a breeder in Sumter around 8 weeks old. He is neutered and up to date on all of his medical requirements. He was first purchased for my grandmother as a companion but as her health has declined and other family needs have increased, he is becoming too much for me to care for alone. We won’t have a fenced in yard so he isn’t able to go out alone and play freely and with limited time/availability from us, he isn’t getting the love and exercise he deserves. He is a sweet dog, good with all people, never bitten anyone. The most he does is jump from excitement. He’s attended some training so will get used to routine easily and knows some basic commands but he does need more formal and consistent training. Please help us rehome Ryder to a great family.
