Story
River is a 7 month old Rottweiler Lab mix currently weighing 45 pounds. He is neutered, house trained, and crate trained. He knows all basic commands (sit, stay, come, fetch, lay down, etc.) He currently sleeps in his crate throughout the night and does very well. He does good on a leash. He loves car rides, the outdoors, soaking up sunshine, playing fetch, sleeping, and especially toys! He will try to carry 3 toys at once. He does not like anybody in his vicinity while he’s eating, doesn’t enjoy baths very much, and doesn’t like small dogs. He’s had one interaction with a cat and didn’t react, but unsure how he would be living with one. He would be best living with larger breeds, no small animals, children 10 years or older, and a fenced in yard to run freely. He is super adorable and a very smart puppy! He learns new tricks and commands very quickly. If River sounds like a perfect fit for you, please fill out an application today! www.charliescrusaders.org CURRENT LOCATION: Foster Care in Windsor, PA 17366 Kennel License #17584 ##2050756##

Story
Meet Toby: Toby is about a 1 year old (as of February 2025) Rottweiler mix that weighs about 90 pounds. Toby came wandering out of the woods in Pennsylvania near a volunteer's home. They tried to find his owners but no one came forward. Toby is currently in a foster home in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania area. Toby is a super friendly boy and likes to snuggle up. Toby loves playing fetch with balls and toys. Toby did awesome on a hike with a leash. Toby has been really great with a 10 year old boy and 12 year old girl that he has been around. Toby likes other dogs. Toby is a big boy and wants to play with other dogs, but they can sometimes get intimidated. Toby is not aggressive at all and he doesn’t growl, but he jumps up and is overly eager to play with doggie playmates, so he will need an appropriate matched playmate. Toby loves to snuggle and get belly rubs. Toby is a smart pup - he can sit, lay down and stay on command. Toby will need a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely. Toby is getting up to date on his shots and has an appointment to be neutered. If you are interested in giving this big bubba a great home, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application. CURRENT LOCATION: Newmanstown, PA 17073 Kennel License #17584 ##2310625##

Story
Meet Jemma! 🐾 Jemma is an 11-month-old Rottweiler mix with a heart full of love and 60 pounds of pure potential! She and her sister were found tied up outside a police station, so we don’t know much about their past—but we do know that Jemma is ready for a bright future in a loving home. This sweet girl may be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, she’ll melt right into your arms with affection. The world can feel a bit overwhelming for Jemma, but she’s brave and eager to learn. She’s smart and picks up on new teachings quickly—she just needs someone patient and kind to guide her! Jemma absolutely adores other dogs and thrives in their company—playtime is her favorite! She’s energetic, fun-loving, and would do best in a home that understands her gentle nature and gives her time to settle in. Cats, however, are way too fun to chase, so a cat-free home would be best. Small kids can make her nervous, so she’d do best in a home with older children or adults who can respect her space. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and intelligent companion who just needs a little reassurance to shine, Jemma could be your perfect match!

Story
Merida is a 10-month-old Rottweiler mix with an adorable nub tail and sweet disposition. She’s on the smaller side for her breed, weighing in at about 60 pounds. She was dumped at a local police station with no one coming forward to claim her from the overcrowded shelter. She takes a little time to warm up and build up enough confidence to give you snuggles, but once she does, she’ll be your most loyal companion. She loves playing with other dogs and is making great progress with her potty training. While she adores her canine friends, a home without small children may be best suited for her to gain confidence. If you’re looking for a gentle, loving pup who just needs a little patience to truly shine, Meri might be the perfect match for you!
