Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ROSA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Rosa is a mature adult Rotteweiler who may be 7-9 years old and weighs about 90 pounds. Even though Rosa was missing some hair and hasn't been taken the best care of, someone taught her how to sit and shake hands. She's a sensitive girl who was been upset by losing her family and is comforted by the presense of her foster mom. She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! We just need to find one that will give Rosa the happy ending we want for her!A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. Arbor is from a breeder she has been in one home since 8wks of age. She is 3yrs old and about 55lbs. She will need patience at first she is fearful of people she does not know. It does not take long with some treat bribing. She currently lives with 2 female adult mastiffs and a 3yr old female boxer(whom she is not getting along with). She is very ball and treat driven. She knows the commands sit, shake, down, off, kennel and drop it. She knows the command come but has selective hearing with that word. She is crate trained and left in one when owner leaves the house. She is allowed on furniture and sleeps in owners bed.

Leo - neutered male, 2 years Say hello to Leo! Leo is searching for his forever home! Leo is very shy, he will need a patient home who understands he will need a calm environment so he can bloom at his own pace! Leo does best in a home with another dog. Having a doggy companion helps Leo to feel more at ease! Leo can often be found snuggled up on his blanket, playing with his toys! He is a big fan of stuffed toys. Leo does well with other dogs. We have not seen him around cats. A home with older, respectful kids would be best due to Leo being a bit skittish. If you would like to open your home to Leo, please fill out an application for him today! Leo is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
