Story
Here's what my friends at the shelter had to say about me! "Gracie is the sweetest little girl with the best compact size. She’s heartworm negative, dog friendly, and did beautifully during her temperament test. She walks wonderfully on leash, listens well, and has great manners. She happily takes treats and has such a joyful, easygoing personality. We just need a home for her to land in."

Story
Riggs is ready for his people! Our adult tri-colored Rottweiler/mix boy has a great friendly temperament and is smart as a whip. Fully grown at approximately 2 years old, loves attention and has a energy level that isn't too much but is just enough. His sweet nature shines though his beautiful eyes showing you that he's got so much love to give and will be a wonderful additional to the right family. He walks well on a leash and knows some commands. Another dog as a companion may work for Riggs but, as always, a meet-and-greet with another dog his size is a must prior to adoption. He is very treat motivated which means he'll love to learn new things. Riggs can be a bit food protective and would do best in a home without small children and without cats. Riggs is a courtesy post for the Brooke County Animal Shelter in Beechbottom, WV, about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. Please contact the shelter at 304-394-0800 for more information or to arrange a meet and greet with Riggs.November 16, 2025, 1:31 pm

DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNN..... meet Gunner! This handsome fella is full of rottie love and snuggles and was so obviously well taken care of before he came into our care. Gunner is a bit of a quirky fella; most rotties sadly get their tail docked, but this guy has a full tail! It seems like in return, though, the universe took his eyes :( That's right! He is fully blind in both eyes. But that doesn't stop him from being curious and have so much passion for "seeing" what the world has to offer! Gunner is still learning how to navigate the world fully. He has some issues with walls, but we're working on it. He also hasn't quite figured out stairs yet, which to be fair, who can blame him? Gunner is incredibly social and friendly and absolutely adores every single person he meets. Seriously, this dog does not have a malicious bone in his entire body. He loves to snuggle and get scratches all over. He especially loves cheek scratches! He reacts very well to your voice and is pretty darn good at using that nose of his! If you are looking for a special needs dog with an even more special heart... come give this guy a second chance of life today! Story
Hello my name is PJ and I'm a big burly manly man. I like manly man things, one of those being the outdoors and 2 of those things being bones. Nothing makes a me, a man happier then chewing on a big bone. Lucky for you, I have a lot of love to give and I am looking for my forever home! I have some specific requests as I am a big boy and I know what I like. What I like: I love dogs and people: I have a big heart and love cuddling, even though I won't fit on your lap. I need another dog in the home, but not any dog, I need another dog who is a high energy working dog like me so I can play and get my ENDLESS energy out. It also helps me to know that I can watch said dog to know how to act in the home. (If I see them sit, I will sit) Speaking of energy, I need a fenced in, large backyard. Because of my size, I will be uncomfortable in smaller backyards. I need to be able to run. I need structure and routine so I don't get anxious. I need firm people that won't let me do whatever I want. Again, it's too much freedom. The more structure the better in my book. I am also house-trained, Crate trained and neutered. What I don't like: I am not that food motivated. What I do care about is praise! I LOVE praise! However, if you offer me a treat, I won't take it. Headpats? Can't get enough. I hate being bored. I need to move until I get tired. If I get bored, I will rearrange your furniture- I won't destroy it but I will DIY out of boredom like the man I am. Small backyards Sitting around the house all day. I get a little anxious at night, the least active hours of the day. I will however settle down and fall asleep, though. just takes me a little bit.  Like I said, I am just a manly Rottweiler looking for a family to love.  Does this sound like a good fit for you? Apply today! ##2630768##

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🥧 Well hello y'all — I’m Moon Pie! 🥧🐾 (2 Years • 70 lbs • Male • Big Goof Energy Included) Yep, Moon Pie — like the sweet treat and like Sheldon’s Meemaw calls him on The Big Bang Theory. Because when you’re this lovable, wiggly, and impossible not to adore, you deserve a name that sounds like a hug. And let me tell you… I am a hug in dog form. I’m a big, lanky, floppy, happy boy with a giant heart and zero shame about belly rubs. I will dramatically roll over, squirm, wiggle, and grin while you rub my belly like it’s my full-time job (spoiler: it is). My foster dad calls me a total goof — and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I’m fully house trained (very proud of this accomplishment) and I’m doggie-door certified. If the door is ever locked, I politely wait like the gentleman I am instead of panicking or causing chaos. On walks, I usually stroll along nicely on a loose leash… unless a squirrel appears, or a potential new friend crosses my path, in which case I briefly but only briefly, forget my professionalism 😅 🐾 Moon Pie’s Fun Facts & Credentials: ✔️ House trained & crate trained (I relax quietly when you leave) ✔️ Uses the dog door like a pro ✔️ Walks well on leash — excitement moments included ✔️ Quiet at home — not much of a barker ✔️ Loves toys and can entertain himself like a one-dog circus ✔️ Knows “sit” and “stay” and takes treats gently ✔️ Super smart, eager to learn, and very trainable I’ve lived with a senior dog and we got along great — though I’ll admit, sometimes I forget not everyone wants to play as much as I do. I’d love a dog buddy who enjoys some playtime or a human who’s happy to help me keep polishing my manners. I really want to be the best boy. Oh — and if you’re into running or biking? Congratulations, you’ve just found your new workout partner. I love keeping pace and cruising alongside you like it’s no big deal. At the end of the day, I’m sweet, affectionate, goofy, active, and full of potential. I’m the kind of dog who brings laughter to your yard, calm to your home, and loyalty to your heart. If you’re looking for a loving, slightly ridiculous, incredibly charming companion with sweetness galore and is Meemaw-level approval… I think we might be a perfect match. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and bring home Moon Pie — the snack-sized name with the full-sized heart. 🖤🤍🥧🐾

Story
WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🤠🐾 Meet Lubbock — The Little Cowboy of Puppy Shenanigans 🐾🤠 Male • 3 Months Old • ~12 lbs • Boxer / Malinois Mix (best guess) This handsome little guy is Lubbock, a 3-month-old, 12-pound bundle of curiosity, wiggles, and future adventure buddy greatness. Right now he’s in the early stages of puppyhood — which basically means life is one big exciting experiment involving toys, zoomies, snacks, and investigating absolutely everything. Lubbock can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but don’t worry — he has one very effective weakness: treats. Offer a snack and suddenly you’re upgraded to “trusted human” status. Being very food motivated means he’s also going to be a rock star student when it comes to training. One thing Lubbock is already very confident about? Dogs are awesome. He absolutely loves other dogs and will need a home with a friendly, confident canine sibling to help guide him and continue building his confidence. Having a dog buddy means playtime, learning the house rules, and of course — proper nap pile formation. Lubbock is also learning important puppy skills like walking on a leash and exploring the world around him. Every day is a new adventure, and he approaches it all with wide eyes and a wagging tail. He’s also a fan of water and outdoor exploring, which means puddles, sprinklers, and creek splashing are all high on his list of approved hobbies. And once he settles in and his confidence really kicks in? Well… prepare yourself. Because that’s when the official Lubbock Puppy Shenanigan Show begins. Expect things like: • High-speed zoomie laps around the yard • Toy collections mysteriously appearing everywhere • Dramatic “I meant to do that” puppy tumbles • Nose-first investigations of everything in sight • Daily laugh-out-loud puppy comedy moments Lubbock is the perfect age to grow up alongside his forever family, learning the ropes while joining in on all the adventures — hiking trails, backyard playtime, camping trips, neighborhood walks, and of course couch snuggles once the day’s fun is done. His dream home is one that enjoys being active, laughing often, and embracing the joyful chaos that comes with raising a puppy. Because once Lubbock settles in and lets his personality shine, he’s going to bring a lifetime of laughs, loyalty, and tail-wagging happiness. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and let Lubbock bring the puppy comedy, the adventures, and the endless smiles into your life. 🐶💛
