Story
Meet Cher,  She is as beautul as the singer Cher.   Are you looking for a sweet, loving girl who loves to be around you! She knows how to pull on your heart strings, by leaning on you and giving you her paw.  She has the personality of a true Rottweiler. Hi! My name is Cher and I am so sweet and love to have attention.  I am 80lbs and 2 years old.  I think I am a purebred, but there is no proof so I am a mix.  I am good with that, because I love who I am.  I was running at large with my brother and we were picked up by someone who loves to help us find a home that truly cares and loves us.  My brother got adopted, but Paws saved me so I did not have to live in a kennel until I find my home. My foster is very patient with me as I learn how to be a house dog.  I have had accidents, but she said I am learning very fast to go outside.  I tell you in silence. I will wait at the gate or door and not make any noise.  She tries to tell me blankets are not toys, but I love them.  So II will  need lots of hard toys and soft toys monitored.  I do pull on a leash, but a freediom harness helps me control the pulling.   We are working on getting into the car as it makes me nervous, but once I am in, I love to go for rides, but my tummy gets a little upset.   As far as a crate goes, I was not happy with the minimal size I can fit into, so I now go into crates that is a size for a Great Dane,  yes I stoled my foster brother's crate.  He thanked me.   I love to be with a dog, that does not over power me, they make me nervous, needs to play with a calm dog and plays at my  level.    I need someone who knows to secure me as I like to escape, as that is how I ended up on the streets.   My foster said thank goodness she has a glass door, because yes I tried to run off, but the glass door stopped me.  I will need a fenced in yard that is secured, so I can not do my escape artist tricks.  I just want a family of my own, that will love me and continue my learning and feel loved and wanted.  Could it be yours? ##2273659##

Story
Jolene is a 5 year old female. She is roughly 80+ lbs. She wants affection but is also unsure about receiving it. She is just an awkward big girl. She did well meeting other dogs. She will probably do better in a home where there is another dog. She followed the cat around during her cat test. Once she becomes more comfortable in a home, she could become more annoying to the cat. Children 5-10 years and older would be the best fit.PA Kennel License #1333.

Story
Bruno is a 4 year old altered male. He was brought to us as a stray. Bruno had some skin issues when he came in, since then he has been on some medication and has improved tremendously. He is very shy and will take some time to warm up to you. We fill that Bruno would do best being the only pet in the home and with kids 13 and older.

Story
Apollo, a 60 lb., 16 month-old, Rottweiler (?) mix, is ready to romp his way into your heart. If you prefer dogs or puppies in size XL, who take up the whole couch during a football game--the kind of happy-go-lucky, rough and tumble dog whose ears flap like small wings chasing a ball, then perhaps you should schedule a time to meet Apollo. Apollo is “air tight” housetrained, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. Apollo came to us as a stray so there are some things we don’t know about his history. Apollo has never shown an ounce of aggression towards other dogs. For lack of training, he does play a little rough but he’s so sweet he will drop a ball from his mouth and tap it through the fence so that a dog on the other side can play with it. (Really.) Apollo needs a home without small children and would love a large, fenced yard for some safe, vigorous daily exercise. He needs a strong arm to walk him on leash, but it’s so easy to imagine Apollo bushwacking a trail with his person or people, or making a big splash in a local river. He’s kind of like a dog version of Indiana Jones. His best friend is Haven, a 50 lb., female Hound mix, who loves racing around the yard with him. If you’re looking for an action and adventure hero disguised as a Big Puppy, Apollo would love to meet you. Contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center on Facebook, or by calling 814-918-2032, or email us here: contactus@Tricounty-arc.org (kennel license #8704)

Story
Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Meet Wellington! Wellington was brought to ICHS at no fault of his own. He is a very friendly boy! Wellington seems to enjoy making friends with humans and has already befriended our entire staff! When Wellington isn't making friends he loves to explore, run around the play yard, and work on his skills. He will sit nicely for a treat! Wellington's favorite toys are stuffed animals. Regarding other animals this handsome man seems to be dog-selective,and doesn't seem to like a couple of the other dogs here at the shelter, but overall friendly to most other dogs! If you are looking for a super sweet, active, and well-behaved dog consider putting in an adoption application for our boy Wellington!Weight: 59 lbsActivity level: High Primary Color: Brown Brindle Secondary Color: White Age: 1yrs 7mths 2wks
