Story
We are absolutely thrilled to introduce Gunner! Gunner has completely stolen our hearts, and we couldn’t love him more if we tried. He’s the total package, and we’re so excited for you to get to know him too! Let’s cover the basics quickly- Dog-friendly? Yes! Kid-friendly? Yes! Cat-friendly? Yes! House-trained? Yes! Crate-trained? Yes! Great car rider? Absolutely! Gunner is currently being fostered by an amazing dog groomer, which means he gets to meet and socialize with a wide variety of dogs every week and is committed to his role as "People Greeter" leaving everyone smiling. His foster mom shared that he has played with so many different breeds and various sizes- from Huskies to Yorkies and everything in between. One of his amazing traits is his ability to adjust his play style to match his playmate. He can bounce and chase just as well as he can turn on his rough and tumble wrestling side. Take a look then come back to read more- https://youtu.be/LM9QqycWlJs When we met Gunner, we saw the same thing—he’s fantastic at reading other dogs and adapting to their energy. Whether he’s romping around with rowdy playmates or calmly hanging out with more reserved dogs, Gunner shines. This ability to connect with other dogs is such a special quality. You can see all his meet-and-greets and play styles in his adoption video! It’s worth repeating- Gunner is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and incredibly well-mannered. He goes into his crate willingly at night or when his foster is away, without any whining or destructive behavior. He is eager to please so we anticipate training and meeting expectations will come easy and his affectionate nature will melt your heart. Gunner loves giving kisses and does the most adorable playful bow when he’s having fun with other dogs. His facial expression during playtime is priceless. He’s a dream car companion—he’ll lay quietly in the back seat, and you might even forget he’s there. Everything about him points to being the perfect companion whether its a movie night in or a weekend adventure. And he is absolutely ready to be a family man, Gunner has been around children as young as 2 years old and as old as 10, and he’s done beautifully with them- calm and gentle while also being a perfect playmate. His outgoing and confident nature shows in his unbothered approach to life in a busy world. Fireworks, lawnmowers, thunder storms, cars, strollers, etc. there is not one thing yet that he hasn't approached with ease and confidence. He loves going for walks, exploring the beach, and meeting new people. The best part is that his welcoming presence draws people to him and he loves it! Gunner lives with multiple cats 🐱 they will sometimes free roam but most of the time they like to hide and cuddle in their cat trees. Gunner leaves them alone and does not try to lay with them. Thanks to his well-rounded personality, Gunner could easily be an apartment boy or the classic, house with a yard type. Whether you are having friends over or stopping in to visit your bestie and their dog, Gunner will be the best host and a perfect guest. Its easy to imagine him in so many versions of home-life because of how solid his character is. Perfect wingman or family man, your sense of security or a fun-seeking sidekick- Gunner is ready! He’s ready to find his forever family and share his big heart with you! Questions? You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!  The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!  We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.  Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!  Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.  The rescue’s hard costs alone (excluding transport) for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,368. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the adoption fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. Transport is a significant additional expense to the rescue.  While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that the rescue does not receive government funding and must fundraise to offset the remaining expense balance which ranges $100-1,000++ per animal on these direct costs. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family  Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions  70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer  Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
MEET RED! Red is a 1-1/2-year old loving and highly intelligent dog in need of a forever home! He is currently in a foster home. Red is great mix of smart and loyal breeds. He is part German Shepherd and Rottweiler, with a few other breeds like Border Collie and Australian Shepherd thrown in. (We did a DNA test - we're happy to share it!). Red is such a great dog in many ways: He is dog friendly, kid friendly and active. He is eager to learn, and will be excited to continue his training with a human companion. (He currently went through obedience training!). He does well off leash on walks in the country, and has wonderful recall. Once he knows you, he does not run off. He is constantly looking for fun things to chase but will look to you for permission and “leave it” when told. Red is also praise motivated and a fast learner. He gets along well with other dogs (loves dog parks!) but needs some gentle correction when he first meets friends because he excites easily at play time. He loves to romp with similar energy dogs, and he would thrive in a pack. He has a strong prey drive, but with proper instruction he has left the cat alone in his current foster home. He is always looking to his person for guidance and commands. Red is also great with all people once he has been slowly introduced to them as his desire to guard his family comes naturally to him. He is not toy or food aggressive, and is crate trained. He loves going for car rides and can be left alone while running errands (he does get car sick now and then). For long trips he may need medication until he hopefully grows out of it. He gets bored easily, should not be left outside in the yard unattended and would do best with someone who works from home or is retired, and who can give him the exercise and stimulation he needs. At the end of the day, Red enjoys lying by your feet or next to you on a couch. He is a snuggler and wants to be close to his people. He's such an awesome dog and companion. If you are looking for a sweet, loyal and active dog and are excited to continue to be his partner in training, Red would be perfect for you. He weighs 70 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Rio, a pocket sized boxer mix that is attentive and loyal to people. Rio is a well-behaved dog who walks beautifully on a leash, needing only minimal corrections. He’s people-focused, often checking in with his handler during walks and around other dogs. He would love to go on hiking adventures or walks around the neighborhood. Rio could live in apartment due to his smart size and leash skills. But a home with a yard to roam in would be enjoyable for him too! Rio is gentle and relaxed, accepting touch with ease and even allowing himself to be picked up and carried without fuss. He does well with a quick verbal correction and shows no signs of resource guarding affection. While he gets along fine with cats when they’re on the ground, he may chase them if they jump onto high surfaces, so a cat-free home would be ideal. Rio is best suited for a home with a medium to low-energy dog or with a family where he can enjoy being both independent and affectionate. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Story
Meet Abbey LIverpool! She is currently 35 pounds, 5 months old, and we think she may be a Boxer/Pittie mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! This puppy is from a part of the US where puppies are regularly euthanized. So, this puppy needs you! If you choose a puppy from this rescue, it saves their life AND it also allows us to save the life of another in its place. Watch Abbey's video here: It will just take one look into Sweet Abbey's soulful liquid eyes to see what a delicate charmer this girl is. Abbey's ears will tell you everything you need to know - when she's feeling shy, when she's interested in a treat, and when she's most in need of a cuddle and snuggle (which we live for, lol). Abbey loves soft stuffies and squeaky toys, but will forego all of that for belly rubs or lap time with you. (Don't tell her that she doesn't fit in your lap, because she doesn't endorse that kind of negativity, lol. If any part of her sits, she fits.) Abbey is currently in a loving foster home with her two sisters and loves to play and nap with her siblings. This gorgeous girl is quite mellow and laid-back and we admire her loving and gentle personality (and we know you will too). Abbey is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! The adoption fee is $900 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Story
Cooper is easy to love, adorable and sweet, a friend to all he meets. This dreamy boy is small dog friendly, kid friendly and a perfect office buddy! He goes to his foster mom’s office every day, a veterinarian clinic, and adores meeting everyone there. He’s a total family dog with a heart for the socialites among us, he loves to have friends around and adores all people. We believe that Cooper is a Boxer, American Staffordshire Terrier mix. He is estimated to be around a year old, past the terrors of puppyhood but still young and trainable enough to become your perfect dog! Cooper is very trainable too, already knowing “paw” and “sit.” He’s food motivated, and a gentle treat taker, which will make further training enjoyable and rewarding for both of you. Cooper is a rescue, so his exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. Cooper weighs in around 45 pounds and loves to lay across your lap in a snuggle. Meet Cooper here: https://youtu.be/Ly1Vaqe8teI?feature=shared Currently fostered in a loving, multi-dog home, Cooper is accustomed to the house dog lifestyle. He loves to curl up in his soft dog bed and adores toys, especially balls. His foster mom reports that he doesn’t have indoor accidents and does well in his crate. Cooper is still learning his leash manners, but with a little polishing he’ll be a perfect walking companion in no time. Cooper is fostered with a shih-tzu mix and does well playing with his smaller companions. We believe that Cooper could live with dogs of all sizes! Cooper goes to the vet clinic that his foster mom works in every day. He gets along well with everyone and enjoys the extra attention that strangers bring. He regularly hangs out with children at the clinic, and does well with kids! He loves to play fetch with them and give kisses. He’s also great in the car, and doesn’t mind the commute! He sits up in the backseat and watches the window. We believe that Cooper would do well in a home with other dogs, or as your only child. We believe Cooper would do really well as a family dog. Cooper could live in an apartment, or in a house. Cooper is such a sweetheart, and he’s ready to meet his forever family. We are willing to test Cooper with anything you need us to in order to ensure he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $825 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup!
