Story
Choi is one strong guy! Most of the time he is tough and determined, but once he accepts you into his circle he is a real cuddle bear. He is so very loyal. Choi enjoys spending his days doing lots of tricks for treats, playing ball, and getting all the pets he can. Sometimes he'll even sit on your lap! When we first rescued Choi he had no leash manners or training. His reactivity and protective behaviour was very intense. Throughout the months of working with him we have seen a huge change in Choi. He is extremely food motivated and enjoys structure. He would benefit from someone who is active, has experience with dogs of his demeanor, and will have the time to continue his training long term. Choi would do best in an adult only home with no other pets, in a quiet environment. He can still be reactive towards dogs, vehicles, and strangers at times. Choi could go to a home with teens depending on the family's experience as a whole.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.AMORITZ is an owner surrender and it’s through no fault of his own that he finds himself in rescue. He’s UTD on vaccinates including rabies and Bordetella plus he’s microchipped and been deemed a healthy boy by his vet. In his case, we do know the breeds of his parents so his breeds are accurate but it’s still a guess at the size he’ll grow to be and his adopter should be okay with him being anywhere from 65lbs to maybe even 90lbs. This handsome boy can be on the shy side when he first meets someone but it doesn’t take him long to warm up and turn into a best friend. He loves to be around people and keeping close to them so he can get snuggles and told what a good boy he is. AMORITZ is one lucky pup as he’s being fostered with our puppy trainer so he’s learning all the basic commands plus a whole lot more. He’s getting lots of socialization with all the other dogs in the home and loves them all no matter what their shape or size. In the words of his foster “he’s doing well and very smart. Lots of shepherd traits, playful, very confident at home and mostly confident outside the home.” He’s crate trained and will sleep soundly in it at night and also take naps in there during the day plus he’s also housetrained. AMORITZ ideal family should be an active one who loves the outdoors, going on hikes, walks and happily take him on adventures with them especially seeing as he travels so well in the vehicle. He’ll do well in a home with other dogs due to all the socializing he’s been doing with the ones in his foster home. He’s never met a cat but if the cat is dog savvy and the introduction is slow and carefully monitored then they should be able to live in harmony. He’ll also do well as an only pet in the home provided he’s not left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6 and up and he does require a fenced-in yard so he can be kept safe while he has a run around and play outside. We do need his adopter to be in agreement to continue his training so he can be the best well-mannered boy he can be. His neuter will be performed in the next couple of weeks and before he’s adopted.  If AMORITZ sounds like he’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet him.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 19, 2025, 10:44 pm
