Story
We found this sweet girl on the side of a busy road and decided to take her home and find her previous owners. She was not chipped and we had no luck with internet posts so she became ours for the time-being. She is very sweet and good with our 1 year old. She gets along well with our other dog as well (a male husky mix). However, we’ve had another baby since then and it’s too much to try to train her and make sure she is getting enough stimulation since she’s still pretty young. The vet guessed that she’s around 1 year old. She is very submissive and simply wants to make you happy all the time. She does have a habit of digging holes to escape our fence and it’s a problem we can’t seem to fix. That’s the only down-side to her. She would be a great family dog for anyone who wants to take the time to train her a little bit.

Story
I got Lili from a college friend when she was just a puppy at 6 weeks old. Her birthday was 7/06/2020, making her four years old this year. She has been nothing, but a wonderful and beautiful dog. She is an outside dog, and with that, brings safety to the family. She lets us know when there are wild animals around (raccoons, opossums) at night, or if there are strangers (mailman, delivery man, unfamiliar cars, etc.) on the property. She will bark to inform us (she has never attacked anyone). Lili is very energetic and loves to play. Tug of war is one of her favorite playtime activities or playing with a ball. She will also keep you company by laying down beside you while you're outdoor reading a book, or just soaking in the sun. Because she has been an outdoor dog, she is not house-trained. So if you're interested and considering her to be an indoor dog, she will have to be house-train. She knows how to sit, lay down, stay, and give you her paw.

Story
Hey there, I'm Leyla! I'm a 7-year-old Rottweiler mix weighing around 50 pounds, and I've got a big heart full of love to share. I'm the kind of gal who's always excited to greet you with a wagging tail and warm nuzzle. I'm friendly and curious, always up for exploring new places and enjoying a bit of adventure with you. While I love to explore, I'm also the perfect companion for a cozy cuddle session. I'm sweet, mellow, and love spending quiet evenings by your side. And don't let my age fool you-I'm still full of life and ready to make every moment with you count. I'm housetrained, good with other dogs, and based on my easygoing nature, I'd likely do well with cats too! If you're looking for a loyal friend who's equal parts cuddle buddy and adventure partner, I'm your girl. Adopt me, and let's create some unforgettable memories together! Ready to meet me? You can apply quickly and easily on our website: foothillshumanesociety.org Applying doesn't obligate you to adopt, but it makes the process smoother if you decide to! You can also visit us in person at: 989 Little Mountain Rd, Columbus, NC 28722 Wednesday through Sunday, 11am-5pm For any questions, feel free to email adopt@foothillshumanesociety.org or call (828) 863-4444. Story
This face is the face of Colson and Colson would like to make his face a permanent fixture in your home and family. He is 2 years old and is a Rottweiler mix, weighing 51.30 pounds. He is looking to make this next chapter of his life, one he will neither ever want to nor ever have to close the book on, spending it with the family who is going to spoil him Rottweiler! Since he has been here, he has tested with a smaller spayed female and seemed more interested in the lovely bushes nearby, the fragrant smells and being sweet to his human handler. To be fair, there is a lot going on here and this is all new to him. We ask you to please come and meet this handsome boy in person to learn more about him. We also recommend meet and greets with both children and other dogs prior to adoption.
