Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Abby is a stunning Rottweiler that is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs 65lbs.  After a rough start in life, she is now searching for her forever home.  Abby was never socialized properly prior to finding her way into  Best Friend Pet Adoption.  She has since been through an intensive 8 week positive training program and did very well. Feedback from her training program is that Abby is loyal, loving, and eager to please. She is very food and treat motivated. She loves to work for her food!  Abby enjoys her nosework training to enrich her life.   Abby is now being fostered by an experienced dog person who has continued to work with her training and confidence.  She is crate trained, leash trained and house broken.  She needs a fenced yard and ideally some additional walks during the day. She has been crated for up to 4 hours.    Abby is currently living successfully with two male Rotties with low energy.  She will not do well with high energy dogs and   would do best as an only dog with an experienced, responsible owner.  Having previous experience with Rottie's would be beneficial.  Abby would not do well in a home with cats or with a first time dog owner.  When around new people, Abby prefers to be ignored and then will approach and engage with them.   Abby has lived with kids and would be ok with older children 12+ that are able to respect boundaries. Could your home be the right fit for Abby?   She has come a long way from her miserable life before Best Friend Pet Adoption saved her.  Could you provide a wonderful life for Abby?  She will give you plenty of love in return.  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Abby and her 6 puppies were surrendered to a rural shelter in August 2023 when the puppies were only 4 weeks old. Animal control did a welfare check and found Abby living outside in a pen with a huge sore around her neck from an embedded collar. One of our volunteers wanted to help immediately and agreed to foster Abby and her puppies. The puppies have all been adopted and now it is Abby's turn to fine a wonderful home.     Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.    Applicants ideally should  live no further than one hour from Cary NC.  For the right match for Abby, we will consider applicants who live further away if they are willing to travel to Cary to meet her.    INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ABBY? Story
Ace is an 11 month old German Rottie pup. His birthday is January 7, 2024. He is very gentle and loving. He can sometimes be goofy and he loves being under is owners. He is GREAT with children. He loves being outdoors playing but he is mostly an indoors dog. He loves watching cartoons. He is still in the process of being Potty trained but on a consistent schedule he does very well. His dog food is the Rottweiler Royal Canin which he LOVES. Ace is also registered with the AKC. Papers available. My family has had Ace since he was 8 weeks old. I originally got Ace to train him as an ESA for my special needs son and Ace does very well. I am looking to rehome Ace only because my family and I are moving and there is a breed restriction and he is not allowed. My kids and I love Ace very much and we want him to go to a family that will love him as much as we do. We are looking for someone who will be patient and kind with him and someone who will understand and appreciate him.

Story
BRANDI is ready for her forever home! She is about 72LBs, sweet and friendly once she warms up and feels comfortable. She is selective with dogs and prefers male dogs. We think she would do best in a home with just one adult or with a couple. Brandi is a great dog, but needs some training and exercise, and a safe place to call her own. Decompression time and a routine is really going to help this girl shine. She will make a great companion for someone with Rottie experience. Brandi is a 3 year old with a docked tail. I was recently rescued off death row from Rowan County. Here's a little peek into what makes me special: Cuddle Expert: I'm a certified cuddle connoisseur! There's nothing I love more than snuggling up with my humans for some quality bonding time. Get ready for lots of warmth and love, especially during movie time! Leash Learning Pro: I may be new to this whole leash thing, but I'm eager to learn! I'm learning not to pull but every walk is an adventure, and I'm excited to explore the world by your side. Food Enthusiast and Trust Builder: I'm cautious at first, but I quickly warm up to people, especially if they offer me tasty treats! Food is the key to my heart, and once you have my trust, I'll love you forever. So let's bond over some delicious snacks and build a lifelong friendship together! Friendly Socialite: Although I've attempted to engage in playful antics with my doggy brother, he prefers a more laid-back vibe. My parents think I may need to learn the art of sharing affection with other pups who match my energy and enthusiasm. So let's find some new furry friends to romp and play with together, as I navigate the world of canine camaraderie! I do well with small dogs and big dogs if they are not overly energetic. Road Trip Ready: I'm a pro when it comes to car rides – no motion sickness here! Let's embark on some fun adventures together! Potty Prodigy: Good news – I've got this whole potty training thing down! Say goodbye to accidents because I'm a pro at doing my business in all the right places. Crating Expert: I'm crate trained. Just make sure to leave me with a Kong and some treats! Ready to welcome some love, laughter, and tail wags into your life? Then look no further – I can't wait to become your new best friend!
