I’m Graham, a handsome senior Rottweiler who would love to have a comfortable forever home for my golden years.I was abandoned at the vet next to the Humane Society of York County, tied to a pole with a note that said my owners could no longer care for me. My birth date is estimated to be January 2014.I’m a happy, easy-going fellow who loves treats, stuffy toys, belly rubs and lounging around. I’m a very chill boy, but I do enjoy my daily walks (at my mellow pace) and I’m an excellent leash walker.If you know much about Rotties, you know we’re loving, loyal and smart. And that’s me in a nutshell!I prefer to be the only pet in my forever home, and would do best in a family without small children. My ideal home would be calm and quiet to match my personality. I’m a gentle boy, but big and strong, about 65 pounds.I would be a perfect fit for someone who wants a cuddle buddy and couch potato. I was picked up as a stray with my kong in my mouth, I love my kong !!I absolutely LOVE TO PLAY, I love my toys, , so I will definitely need some of those in my new home. I am friendly with people and I have been fine with the few dogs that I have been introduced to at the rescue. If you have another dog, we will need to do a meet and greet with proper introductions and see how it goes. No cats for me though. Now I know my foster mom already told you I love my toys, sometimes though I don’t like to share them, but once I trust you well then that’s a whole different story so…. Royce is a Boxer mix that is approximately two years old. He is very affectionate and loves ear rubs, belly scratches, and hanging out at your feet. He has been curious and playful with our cat and other dogs. Royce enjoys walking, playing tug, and chewing on/playing with tennis balls/other toys. Running circles in the yard is also a favorite, and he is beginning to learn how to play fetch. He is crate-trained. Royce also does well on hiking trips. The farthest he has gone is about 8 miles. He knows some basic commands: sit, down, go to bed, no, and wait—although still in training, and reinforcement is needed to improve consistency. He has dramatically improved in this area since adoption. Royce has a very loving, affectionate, and silly personality typical of a Boxer. He loves pets and hanging out. He would make a great companion dog for an adult or family with older members. Royce would not be well-suited in a home with young or small children, however.
