Aang loves to go for walks. He walks well on a leash and loves people. Aang is a calm boy who doesn't bark much and loves to swim. He knows how to use a doggie door. This sweet boy gets along with other dogs and doesn't bother cats. Aang is about a year old and 50 pounds. Please help Aang find the loving home that he deserves. Update: Aang tested positive for the common tick borne Lyme's disease. He is still available for adoption and is currently being treated with the usual oral antibiotic which can be sent with his new family for completion. Since he likes to swim, he came down with an ear infection which he was given Claro Otic by the vet which is a one time treatment that lasts for 30 days. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. Two year old Axel is a happy, confident Rottie looking for a forever home after his owner abandoned him and his brother. Axel walks nicely on a leash and has really enjoyed walks on the nature trail with our staff. He's an intelligent boy and has quickly learning the routine of shelter live, adapting quickly. Axel is good with other dogs of similar size, but not with smaller dogs or cats, and would do best in a family with big dog experience. Does not like children!!

Brutus is visually impaired but that doesn’t stop him from being the love bug he is and navigating his space like a champ!
