After being neglected and surrendered to a southern shelter as a cruelty case, she was rescued and transported to NJ in hopes of finding a loving family. Mirage is looking for a quiet home away from the hustle and bustle of city life, as she thrives in tranquil environments. Mirage may be lowkey, but don’t let her calm demeanor fool you—she's a toy enthusiast who can often be found amusing herself with her favorite playthings. In fact, she’s also quite the entertainer with them- give her a squeaky toy and she’ll show you her funny side as she keeps herself (and you) entertained! She's looking for patient adopters who will give her the time she needs to adjust to her new surroundings and let her wonderful personality shine through. Once she feels safe, Mirage is all about playtime, exploring on car rides, and enjoying pets. She is selective with her dog friends and requires a careful introduction to other pups. Meet Chavo, a handsome purebred Rottweiler who is looking for a new home. He came from a private breeder in NY and is up to date on all his shots. Chavo is about 4 1/2 years old and weighs in at a whopping 98 pounds. Chavo is house, leash, and crate trained. He’s a friendly dog who gets along great with other dogs, cats are an unknown, although he can be protective of his water bowl and his balls. He has lived with other dogs. We socialized him at a very young age and took him to plenty of dog parks. Chavo has lived with a child but owners would suggest older kids are a better fit as Chavo doesn't always realize how big he is. He is a friendly and playful boy, smart, and eager to please. He loves toys but can be protective them. He has been known to howl when he is left alone in his crate too long so apartment living may not be the best fit for him. Chavo is NOT with 11th Hour Rescue but we are networking him so that he may find a new home. Aang loves to go for walks. He walks well on a leash and loves people. Aang is a calm boy who doesn't bark much and loves to swim. He knows how to use a doggie door. This sweet boy gets along with other dogs and doesn't bother cats. Aang is about a year old and 50 pounds. Please help Aang find the loving home that he deserves. Update: Aang tested positive for the common tick borne Lyme's disease. He is still available for adoption and is currently being treated with the usual oral antibiotic which can be sent with his new family for completion. Since he likes to swim, he came down with an ear infection which he was given Claro Otic by the vet which is a one time treatment that lasts for 30 days. We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes. Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. Meet Lita! She is a very special girl..... She has a great capacity for love. She is crate and leash trained. She was found in Georgia out by the Macon state prison by one of the guards. They took care of her and her son for a time. They were later surrender to us to further her training and help them find permanent homes. Her son has found his forever home, and now it is miss Litas turn. Although she resides in Georgia she would be happy to make the trip up north for her very own furever home. she would love some bigger kids to play with or maybe a big back yard to run in.
