Capone is a SWEET but ENERGETIC American staffordshire terrier/ Rottweiler mix that we adopted 10/2021. He is capable of professional horse racing jumping (over the very tall baby gate in our kitchen) & thinking he is still a small boy so jumping and wanting to be in your lap 247 (which was the best thing ever until I got pregnant!) He is so sweet and kind and we want to find him a family that can vibe with his high energy in a way we cannot anymore with a newborn!

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit that rescues and places homeless, neglected or abused dogs from high-kill shelters in the south into loving, responsible committed and permanent homes. We feel our comprehensive adoption process which includes not only taking the time to match the dog to the prospective new owner but helping to educate that owner in responsible dog care, allows us to find the best homes for our little buddies and the best companions for you! Each week we use USDA certified transports to bring dogs from high-kill shelters in the south to our fosters where they all receive the appropriate medical care and are placed in nurturing loving homes while they await placement in their forever homes. Interested in one of our dogs? Great! Now that you've seen them here you'll need to go to our website where you'll find our list of adoptable dogs (updated every week). Then, it's just a simple process of finding a dog you're interested in and filling out an application on our site. Once we receive your application, whoever is fostering that particular dog will contact you and do a short over the phone interview to complete your application process. If everything works out, they will set an appointment with you so come out and "visit" with the dog you're interested in (we want to make sure that not only are you a good fit for the dog but that the dog will fit with you). If everything works out, you'll be able to take rover (or spot, or jax) home with you that very day. A couple of things you should know: We can't hold dogs over the phone or via email. Adoption fees vary based on breed. All of our dogs have been vet checked and dewormed (if possible due to age, additional treatment may be needed). Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. She has no issues being left alone in the home. Would you be the family she has been waiting on? We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

This boy is the last of the litter still looking for a home. He is very friendly, loves to play and would love an active family. He gets along with other dogs and doesn't have to be the alpha. He will need all the puppy training as he's never been inside of a house. He is a quick learner and is learning manners when greeting people (he's a bit jumpy). He is a fun boy who just wants to have a good time. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders Pet Transport.
