Story
Zoey is a courtesy post for another local New Jersey rescue.  Here is the information provided to us by her rescue.  If you have an interest in fostering or adopting Zoey, please contact her rescue directly at bfdaaa.com  Zoey is in Northern New Jersey in a kennel. Zoey is a beautiful 2-year-old German Shepherd/Rottie/Lab mix. She is a loving, energetic, and loyal companion that is eager to learn and please her family. She deserves her forever home. She would do best in a home with no other pets and no small children. Zoey would prefer an active lifestyle as she loves to go on walks and playing fetch is her favorite!! Although she is an active dog, Zoey loves to cuddle on the couch for hours. She is housebroken and crate trained. She is extremely intelligent and loving. She will be your shadow if you let her. Zoey has been professionally trained and did amazing learning all her commands and how to be well-behaved in a home.  We do recommend a home experienced with her breeds specifically Rottweiler and German Shepherd as she is inclined to be protective of her loved ones. Story
Benny is a brave and athletic SEVEN MONTH OLD young ROTTWEILER who loves to play and explore. He is friendly, curious, , and he will make a great companion for someone looking for an adventurous pup.and is familiar with this breed Benny is a young dog, but he has a lot of love to give and he is always eager to please. He enjoys going on walks and chasing after a ball or frisbee. Benny can be a little wary of other dogs so would need some more training and socialization to be able to relax around his four-legged friends. He would benefit from a patient owner who can give him the guidance and training he needs . Benny is an incredibly smart dog and will do best in a household where he can get a lot of attention, exercise and mental stimulation. If you think you could give Benny the loving home he needs, please come and meet him today! Neutered with all updated shots Please complete this application to make that happen https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POSH/Dog

Story
The best candy in the trick-or-treating bag? Must be Reeses! Meet Reeses, a boy sweeter than any chocolate and peanut butter candy around. Reeses is a 2-year-old Rottweiler/Shepherd mix with the cutest smile. He was rescued from Marion County, South Carolina. He weighs 61 pounds. Reeses is a huge lovebug. He can be a little shy at first, but once he warms up to you, he is so happy to spend all his time by your side. He loves playing fetch and would spend all day running to catch his favorite toys and tennis balls. He’d love a big backyard to play and run in. And when he gets tired, scooch over and let him snuggle in close. This sweet boy wants to snuggle and snooze with you. Reeses would do well in a home with other big, playful dogs and older kids who can handle his size—he doesn’t quite understand that he isn’t as teeny tiny as some of his puppy pals. He would be an amazing family dog or a bestie to any young person or couple looking to add a canine companion. We can’t wait for you to meet Reeses. We know you’ll love him to pieces! Reeses is neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped. **Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application. All adoption applications must be completed on www.hfgdr.org**   HFG Dog Rescue is a 100 percent foster-based rescue located in Berkeley Heights, NJ with a sister location, The Almost Home Wellness Center, in Aiken, SC. All of our dogs are rescued from kill shelters in SC + GA and once ready for adoption live in loving local NJ foster homes until they find forever families of their own. Our fosters begin basic training, housebreaking, and leash-walking skills to help pair you with the perfect pup for life!   In order to apply for adoption and set up an individual meet and greet with one of our dogs, please visit us at www.hfgdr.org.   Find us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/HomeForGoodDogRescue.
