Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet James, a spirited young pup who's full of energy and ready for adventure! At just one year old, this medium-sized bundle of joy is in his prime and eager to explore the world. From our volunteer observations, James seems to be a social butterfly who enjoys the company of other dogs. He's often seen joining in playtime, inviting others to romp around, and engaging in enthusiastic, physical play.   This friendly boy is not only playful with his canine companions but also tends to be very affectionate with people. With some treats and patience, James is typically easy to handle and walk, making him a potentially great fit for an active household looking for a lively new addition. PLAYGROUP  Playful with the other dogs, joining in their play and soliciting for others to join in too.  James always wants to play, tail wagging, knows sit VOLUNTEER OBSERVATION 10/4/24 Medium Energy; Knows Sit; Social (People);Social (Dogs); Wants to Play; James was soo fun!! He peed and pooped immediately outside- so there's a chance he is potty trained. He LOVED to play ball! He was happy to romp around the yard with it in his mouth and was excited to get to take the ball back to his kennel with with him. He would chase the ball but also play with it by himself. He seems to know sit. Wants to play. He was having a great time!  James joins us in mid-November and is ready for a foster/adoptive family. He is not yet tested with cats, and would do best with sturdy kids. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Apply on our web site: http://4theloveofdog.org/adopt.html November 5, 2024, 9:02 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Dakota's Long-Awaited Freedom After 267 long days of patiently waiting for her court case to resolve, Dakota, a beautiful and affectionate 2-year-old, 81lb Rottweiler, is finally free and ready to embark on her next adventure—a loving forever home! This sweet girl has endured so much, but her spirit remains unbroken. Dakota is a certified lovebug who adores attention and will happily flop over for belly rubs as soon as you give her some affection. Dakota has a playful side, too—she loves toys and is always up for a treat (of any kind!). Because this clever girl knows her way around food, it's best to secure it when you're away. She’s a pro in her crate and is mostly housebroken, making her transition into a home smoother. While Dakota can be a bit strong on the leash, she’s eager to learn with the right guidance. She’s shown interest in other dogs, and with proper introductions, she may find a new best friend! We’re not sure how Dakota feels about cats yet, so careful introductions are recommended. Dakota’s journey has been long and challenging, but her heart is full of love and hope for a brighter future.
