You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Roxie is a referral for Paws for Life in PUEBLO, CO. Roxie is not in the care of Big Sky and the information is that of the shelter.  If you are interested in the beautiful, smiley young girl, please contact the shelter the information is belowRoxie is a sweet girl who is about one and a half year old. She has a medium energy level and would probably do best in a home with a 6 ft fenced-in yard. She loves to run in the yard and play fetch. Roxy is a little shy and selective so would do best in a home with no children and with a patient, experienced dog owner.  She walks well on a lead and all staff have no difficulty with her. Roxie is having kennel stress having been raised in a home.  We are having a hard time keeping weight on her due to the stressPlease call the shelter at 719-543-6464 to set up an appointment to meet herVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 4:03 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rocky is being listed as a referral and is NOT in the care of the Big Sky Rottweiler foster program.  He is being listed to help find him a new home and the information is that of his current owner. Rocky is a gorgeous  intact male dog who needs to be neutered and current owner said she would prior to adoption.  He has some behavioral issues at this time.  He is NOT nuetered and is entering his terrible twos and is not getting the time needed to work with him to make him the Rottie he can be.  Here is the information providedHello, thank you so much for getting back to me. I am looking to re-home for a couple of reasons. He is a very sweet dog, but he doesn’t like a lot of other dogs; other than the ones we have in our home (chihuahua) whom he adores and is very protective of. So essentially, he is a family dog. Extremely loyal and protective but loving with most people who I accept into my home (although we do start off introductions with a muzzle) My husband does not want to carry the liability of a Rottweiler, he has expressed his concern for this and believes that the dog is potentially very dangerous and could wind up putting everything we’ve worked for at stake. It’s been a point of contention between us, so much so that now there is talk of divorce. On top of this my husband is extremely allergic to his saliva and breaks out in welts so further training is difficult for him. Unfortunately now that divorce is on the table, I also am the main caregiver of our son and my family lives in a different state. Our Rottie is not welcome in their house because of previous attacks between dogs and so me being able to be with my family for support through this time is difficult, travel is difficult as each time I drive between homes is 16hrs which I simply cannot do. I love this dog so much, he is a wonderful companion and such a lover. We are bonded but my life is changing rapidly and I fear I do not have the energy, time or space for him because it is interfering with me being able to take care of me in my time of need. I am not in a rush to rehome him because I really want to find the right home for him. I do not want to find him being discarded or mistreated. I know he needs a real owner who is willing and able to take on the commitment these dogs require. And a stable enough home to keep him for the rest of his life.He is not yet neutered, we are planning on neutering next month. He is updated on his shots, though we have chose not to do boosters. He recently got his rabies shot and had extreme diarrhea so we are cautious with quantity of shots in a short period.Rocky is located in Couer De Lane, Idaho, so you will need to contact his current owner to adopt and get more informationContact:Name: Giovanna FabianiHome Phone: (415) 574-1633Email: Fabiani.Giovanna@gmail.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 4:03 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Roxy is not in the  Big Sky foster program but is being listed as a referral to help get her a home.  Here is this beautiful girls story. My husband and I saved Roxy from being shot , but we can not keep her. We are loosing our house and if we can not find her a home we will have to take her to the shelter . Her original owner was not a nice person to her. He also dumped her at 10 different homes with in a yr. She is scared and anxious.  I took her in 4-17-24 to have her fixed at the humane society.  I'm hoping it helps her.Roxy gets along with some dogs others she doesn't like. she has snapped before  if ppl push her that she does not know . She is 4 and she has shots . She's never shown aggressive behaviors towards me and took to me right away . She likes my oldest son , but not my youngest son.  Roxy has calmed down a bit since being with us . She doesn't shake all the time now . She has papers.  I have reached out to her breeder and she does not want her back and told me to put her down. I do know her old owner smacked her around and kept her locked up all the he also bred her 3 times and she lost the babies every time . I was told her hormones were all over the place. And I was told to fix herAs you can see, Roxy has not had a great life until now and will need a home that is willing to give her some time and love to make her the Rottie we know she can be.  If you have the time, experience and heart to help her, please contact Sarah TraxlerHome Phone: (208) 627-7184Email: aqha1987@gmail.com   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 4:03 pm
