Sometimes the pets appear to be a particular breed(s) in the pictures we receive from our rescue partners and when they arrive we are surprised to see an entirely different breed(s) in person!  If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess. It is with deep longing that we wish there was a breed called 'cute' as we believe all of our dogs would fall under this new breed classification! Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. She has no issues being left alone in the home. Would you be the family she has been waiting on? We use the most animal-friendly transport on the road. Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
This boy is the last of the litter still looking for a home. He is very friendly, loves to play and would love an active family. He gets along with other dogs and doesn't have to be the alpha. He will need all the puppy training as he's never been inside of a house. He is a quick learner and is learning manners when greeting people (he's a bit jumpy). He is a fun boy who just wants to have a good time. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders.

He needs a 4-6 foot fence, daily exercise (like his current 2.5-3 mile walks), and someone who can provide strong, supportive leadership, as he prefers not to be the alpha. Fushi loves tennis balls, snuggles, and being a part of the family. Ideally, his family would have sturdy kids who can give commands, a grassy yard for grazing, a couch or bed he can cozy up on, and perhaps a dog friend to play with (though he’s intimidated by dogs larger than him). Story
Meet Ozzie, the loyal Rottie with a heart of gold! Ozzie is a 5 year-old Rottweiler, weighing in at 107 lbs. Despite his large size, Ozzie is a well-trained, gentle giant who is looking for a family that can love him for life. Ozzie was dealt a tough card in the first part of his life and is enjoying the redemption arc he’s experiencing now!Ozzie is fully house-trained and crate-trained. He never protests spending time in his crate, but has transitioned to free roaming when home alone. He’s a good boy that doesn’t get into much mischief. He has settled comfortably in his foster home after slow introductions to new people. Once he’s comfortable with his people, he's all in! He’s become his foster mom’s shadow and loves to be included in all family activities. He loves anything that involves a car ride, especially trips to the cabin!Ozzie would be happiest in a home with dog-savvy older children and people who understand his need for gradual introductions. He needs a bit of time to warm up to visitors and would do best in a home that is dedicated to learning/accommodating Ozzie’s social needs. Ozzie would likely do well with another resident dog in the home. He’s had positive dog tests and a meet and greet may be necessary prior to adoption. The same goes for cats. Ozzie hasn’t been the biggest fan of the cats he’s seen but his experience is very limited. He may do well with a resident cat in the home given proper introductions are done. Ozzie has a few adorable quirks that make him truly special. He has a charming, slightly asymmetrical face with one eye larger than the other and a slight droop on one side of his snout—a unique look that adds to his charm and doesn’t affect his quality of life. He was likely born this way! He’s missing a few teeth that were recently removed due to extreme wear. This doesn’t affect his ability to eat or play!Ozzie enjoys a moderate amount of exercise. A daily walk with plenty of time to explore is his idea of a good time, though he sometimes needs a gentle reminder to stay on track, as he loves stopping to sniff everything along the way. He would appreciate access to a yard so he can sun-bathe to his heart’s content but this isn’t a requirement. He’d do well with a fence or a tie-out with supervision.Ozzie’s ideal forever home would include a calm, patient family who can give him the time and space he needs to warm up. He’d do well with someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule, as he loves being near his people and is happiest when included in daily activities. He may not need a fenced yard, but he thrives in a secure setting where he feels safe and loved. And, despite his size, Ozzie has demonstrated that he’s a true gentleman—respectful of space and attentive to the rules when food is not left unattended! If you’re ready to welcome a loyal, loving, and uniquely charming Rottweiler into your life, Ozzie is ready to be your steadfast companion. He’s eager to leave his past behind and start a new chapter filled with love, belly rubs, and plenty of car rides by your side! If you’re interested in learning more about Ozzie and think he might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Welcome Rocky to CCPAL Rescue. He is a Rottweiler or Shepherd/Bulldog is our best guess on breed. He has a beautiful grey coat that is shorter and he is athletic and friendly. He weighs about 50 pounds and is a good weight and is about 1.5 years old. He has new adult teeth that are still nice and clean. He would be perfect for a runner, walker, jogger, hiker or athletic and outdoorsy family. He loves all people so you won’t have any trouble with him meeting new people. He would love to join a family on all their adventures. He is good in his kennel and goes potty in his outdoor space. He hasn’t been reactive when we had him on leash. He is a head turner for sure. He is getting his vaccinations and will be neutered and ready for his forever home in a couple of weeks. He is outgoing and would be fine with a family that has children. We would like children to be 8 or older. Rocky is not a big shedding dog. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally in Texas. We can also work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions.
