Story
Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. She has no issues.

Story
This boy is the last of the litter still looking for a home. He is very friendly, loves to play and would love an active family. He gets along with other dogs and doesn't have to be the alpha. He will need all the puppy training as he's never been inside of a house. He is a quick learner and is learning manners when greeting people (he's a bit jumpy). He is a fun boy who just wants to have a good time. He is located in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders Pet Transport.

Story
Meet Harvey! He is a sweet young pup on the search for his forever family. He is looking for a family that is committed to providing love and guidance so he can grow up to be the best companion. Harvey loves playing with toys, eating treats and getting all the love from his foster family. He is expected to be a large dog, so please take that into consideration when adopting.  If you are ready for a lifelong commitment, please fill out an application and his foster family will be in touch.  The breeds listed are guesses so your guess is as good as ours:)We do not have a facility for you to visit. You are welcome to email ccrcdogs@ccrcdogs.com with specific questions, but please complete the online application, which can be found at www.ccrcdogs.com, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10-day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC has a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, and we have trainers who will offer free phone/email support. February 17, 2025, 9:34 am

Story
Rags is a very friendly and chill Rottie mix who was luckily rescued by his foster. He was found walking down a median on a busy road in Detroit. Rags currently lives with several other dogs and is very loving and sweet. It appeared he was not very well taken care of when found. He has an overbite which was probably congenital that causes his tongue to stick out. He had heartworm disease when we first got him but he was treated and is now healthy and heartworm negative. Rags is about 72 pounds and estimated to be about 9 years old. Rags has a good personality and would love to finally find a wonderful new family to love and care for him. This fellow definitely deserves it. Please consider making him a new addition to your home or companion for another friendly dog.

Story
Meet Robin Hood: A Gentle Soul Ready for His Forever Home Robin Hood’s story is one of resilience and hope. Once abandoned and emaciated, left to survive on his own, this sweet Rottweiler has come such a long way. Now, he’s ready to find the loving home he’s always deserved—a place where he can continue to heal and thrive. Robin Hood is a gentle spirit who marches to the beat of his own drum. He takes life at his own pace, needing a little extra time to adjust to routines and learn commands. But beneath his cautious demeanor lies a heart full of unconditional love. With patience and understanding, Robin Hood will reward his new family with a bond like no other. During his time at the shelter, Robin Hood has worked hard on training, meeting new people, and learning to accept and give affection. His unique personality makes every interaction with him special and deeply rewarding. Robin Hood would thrive in a calm, patient home without small children. While he’s non-reactive to dogs and could share his home with a canine companion, a proper and slow introduction will be key to his success. This sweet boy has endured so much, and his journey forward will require a family who sees his worth and is committed to supporting him as he navigates his new life. To ensure the best transition for Robin Hood, we’re currently considering foster-to-adopt homes for him. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this one-of-a-kind pup, apply now to start the next chapter of his journey. Robin Hood is waiting for the love and care he’s always deserved—could you be the one to give it to him? Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
