Story
Hunter will be 2 years old in January 2025. We got him from a breeder for my kids. I got him trained by a K9 professional dog trainer. I would like for someone who has experience with Rottweiler to be his new family. Hunter has a lot of energy. Also, if you have a backyard or land space, that would be good for Hunter. We have decided it would be best to rehome Hunter as we have decided that our home is not best suitable for his personality. Hunter is strong-willed which is why we request someone who either has experience with large breeds or is willing to put in the necessary work with him. Overall he is a sweet and kind dog who has some moments. One thing that is important to note is that he does not appreciate his toys being touched nor his ears which he will respond with a growl. We understand that this is normal for his breed but we believe that it is not the best for our household. We hope to find a responsible owner willing to train him and give him the best life possible.

Story
Poor Bosco has found himself home after the death of his former owner.  He is a gentle, mid-aged boy, looking for a new soft landing.  He is a large boy, weighing 100 lbs, and can be strong on the leash when he wants to get somewhere, but he is good-natured and willing to please.  He is newly neutered and has received dental treatment from our vet clinic.  He seems to do well with other dogs, but because he is recently neutered we think he would do better with no other dogs for a while.  He didn't seem to have lived with cats before and was very curious about them.  We think he would do best with older children, aged 8 years and up. Please Note:  You must live within a 175-mile radius of our facility to be considered for adoption. To fill out an online application to adopt this pet, cut and paste this link:  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/2627/generic You can also find a link to our online adoption application on our website at www.hartforanimals.org/adopt - or our Petfinder homepage.  We process applications in the order they are received, therefore, it could take UP TO 2 weeks for us to respond to your application. Please do not send us an inquiry unless you have specific questions. All our dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for rabies, Bordetella, and distemper/parvo, given flea medication, heartworm tested, and given a microchip before going to their new home. ##2239722##

Story
Well, HOWDY!!! I still can't believe i am IN TEXAS!! My story may be a little convoluted but suffice it to say... the OK Corral has nothing on me! I was not fighting the outlaws.. i was not fighting at all! I was just trying to figure out why I was saved and in a wonderful rescuers home.... then... back into a high kill shelter?? UNTIL, I was saved by ANOTHER rescuer and was transported from Louisiana to TEXAS and here I am! I LOVE everyone, I want a home that will walk me a couple of times a day and then chill out with me on their couch :) I don't have a whole bunch of energy but that is PERFECT for a lower energy home. I came to the rescue with heart worms but am going to complete my treatment by Christmas!! What a gift that will be! I am now looking for my family, someone who will love me for who I am.. a little low rider, kinda chunky but as loving as the day is long! ADOPT ME!!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
