Roxy is a courtesy listing for one of our partner groups, info for adopting is below: Meet Roxy Anne You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Virginia (virginiak@tarasdream.org) for more information about this pet. Please visit our web site at https://tarasdream.org/adopt to fill out an adoption application for this pet and for more info about our adoption process.Meet Roxy! Roxy is one unique girl who's had a rough go being in our boarding facility for several years now, which is never good. That said, her personality is still that of a smiley happy dog, who loves to go on walks with our volunteers. Roxy was recently fostered in a home for the holidays where she did very well, having no accidents and behaving like an angel! Roxy can be a little nervous and unsure of men, which just means men should give her time to familiarize with them, and respect her by moving slowly, and not acting like an idiot or aggressive (I'm a guy btw, I can vouch we are idiots at times). Roxy needs someone patient, but once she connects with you, she will be your best friend and love you in the most special way. If you think you are that unique opportunity for Roxy, she's been waiting!Approximate Birthdate: Oct 2017Adoption Fee: Roxy's adoption fee has been sponsored by the Kansas City Crime Lab!TARA's adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm and flea prevention, and deworming. Story
Hello! I'm Bronson! My foster mom believes I'm a mix of Rottweiler and American Bully, and I'm about one year old. I boast a sleek black coat and the most adorable ears that perk up when I'm joyful, not to mention my large paws! If you're seeking a dog who loves to play as much as he loves to cuddle and relax, look no further-I'm your perfect match! My foster mom affectionately refers to me as her 'living weighted blanket' because I'm happiest lying across her chest for hours. I also enjoy snuggling on top of my foster dog siblings when they're up for it. At my foster home, I have two canine companions that I absolutely adore! We spend hours playing, which is my absolute favorite activity-I love being chased, wrestling, and I even make the cutest play growl! Weighing in at around 80 pounds, I'd fit best in a home without small children to avoid any accidental bumps. I'd be overjoyed to have another dog to play with in my new home-it's the best way for me to expend my energy! I do require regular walks or a fenced yard to run and play for proper exercise. I'm still mastering basic manners, such as not jumping up when excited, refraining from using my mouth during play, and avoiding chewing on things when unsupervised. But hey, I'm just a puppy going through my 'teenage phase,' right? With a bit of training and patience from my new family, I'm confident I can overcome these habits. I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and I know basic commands like 'sit,' 'shake,' and 'lay down.' Plus, I'm quite good at walking on a leash! Having lived in three different homes through no fault of my own, I'm now eagerly waiting to settle into my forever home! If you are interested in knowing more about this dog, please submit an application. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS-A-425 Once applications are approved, meet and greets can be scheduled. Bio current as of 06/04/2024.

Story
This adorable goofball is Bubba, our friend from Saving Death Row Dogs in Topeka, Kansas. Bubba is a very handsome Rottweiler mix and about six years old. Like so many of the dogs in our program, Bubba had a difficult start to life. His mama was used as a backyard breeder. Bubba's oxygen was cut off during his birth and he had to be resuscitated. He's a very sweet guy and loves all the people, big and small. On a perfect day, Bubba would spend some time running, rolling and lounging in the grass, and sitting for some yummy treats. In case you were wondering, he really likes cheese. That stuff is good! (If you want to get really fancy with rotisserie chicken, Bubba won’t complain!) Bubba's nub tail wags like crazy if you talk silly to him. Maybe he's just humoring us, but he sure seems to enjoy it! Bubba also loves to play with stuffies and rope toys—he runs and places them where he thinks they belong in the yard. So stinkin' cute! Bubba's been bounced around quite a bit, so we really want his next home to be his forever. That’s what he dreams about at night. And frankly, also during the day! Are you Bubba's dream come true? Call or text The Pet Connection at 913-671-7387 for more info on Bubba. He's hanging out with The Pet Connection in Beloit, Kansas, but transport is available to the right home. #thepetconnectionks
