Meet JoJo! This 4-year-old Rottweiler is on the lookout for her forever home. JoJo is a friendly, social butterfly who adores being around people. With her sweet personality and laid-back demeanor, she`s more into relaxation than high-energy activities. JoJo does have some gastrointestinal issues we are working on treating, and it is possible that she may need to be on medication long-term. JoJo has a strong love for treats and can be a bit enthusiastic about them, so we recommend a home with children 12 and older to ensure nobody accidentally gets their fingers nipped. She walks gently on a leash and would make the perfect companion to take for walks. She`s also been tested with other dogs and did well, so she might enjoy a furry sibling if it`s a good match! JoJo is ready to shower her new family with love. Could she be the perfect addition to your home?

Where are all of our Rottweiler fans?! Hopefully you are going to be heading over to Michiana Humane Society to meet Ruby girl! She is the most petite rottie weighing just around 50 pounds! How great would that be if we could find an adopter for Ruby who is familiar with her breed?! Everyone would be set up for success! We've shown Ruby that she can trust us and the more she does, the more fun she becomes! When Ruby has been up in the office meeting people, she has been all tail wags! Well, kind of tail wags because her tail is docked, so, you know! Anyways, she is becoming more and more social which has been awesome to see. Her ideal home would be one with a family who can continue to build her confidence because she sure shines during training and enrichment sessions. She is SO eager to please! Ruby is looking for a home where she can be the only furry family member and where everyone is teenaged and older. Ruby loves to be close in your arms and will seek out and solicit love and affection. We love her little face and cannot wait to see her thrive in her forever home! Ruby is about one year old and is spayed.

Everybody gather round, it`s an extremely rare sighting of...Jarbarkus?! This handsome bear-like Rottie is nothing but a gentle giant. He is absolutely a sight to see, with long(ish) multiple coated fur, and those big brown eyes! Jarbarkus loves to play, but he can definitely tone it down to match the setting he`s in. His favorite game so far has been fetch with a squeaky toy, to be exact. Another thing Jarbarkus loves is butt scratches! His body completely loosens up and he wiggles into you to receive more. This affectionate boy is very easy to please--between the butt scratches and chin scratches, we don`t know which one he likes more! This Rotty can hang with the best of his four legged pals, he has become a prominent member for playgroups here at the shelter! Jarbarkus would best suit an adult only home with parents that understand his needs as a Rottweiler. On this next tour stop, we will answer any questions you have about Jarbarkus. Western Ave. Chicago, IL *The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID. *All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs. *Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.

Ideally, his new home would have a yard for him to play in and a caring family who can manage his upbeat energy.
