Jolene LOVES belly rubs. She knows sit, paw and down; but rolls to her belly as fast as she can in hopes of cuddles. Jolene does not mind people getting in her face and thinks it's an invitation for kisses. She is a lover and not a fighter. Jolene is fostered with other dogs and plays with pitties, bullies, dobies and hounds daily. She has a deep growl when she plays (very much a Rottie thing) and can be the bully. Her dominate play style is maternal and not aggressive, she does well with other females or passive females. Jolene is playful and likes toys and keeping up with all the new smells around her. She would love a yard, farm or ranch to call home. She walks nicely on a leash, though she's huge, she's gentle and wants to stay with her human. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Prince. This handsome boy was shot and left for dead in a dumpster. Somehow this brave boy managed to crawl out. When he was found he had curled up on a couch, gave up, waiting for death. A volunteer was contacted and we rushed him to the vet. He was shot in the eye, the bullet grazed his brain and lodged in his chest. He came in with a severe infection in both the eye. After a week in the ICU, a plasma transfusion and eye removal he is ready for a new home. Prince is great on a leash, absolutely loves people and is very friendly. Playing in the water is a favorite hobby of his. However he is cat reactive and needs to be in a cat-free home. He constantly wants to be with his people. He will need a privacy or 6 foot fence where he can run safely. Prince was born around 11/2021 and he weighs 50 pounds. HIs adoption fee is $300. You can apply for Prince at www.adoggie4you.org. This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. Loving and smart and GREAT with EVERYONE I meet!! I have puppy-dog brown eyes that'll absolutely pull at your heart strings, so careful when I look up at you! I have the ability to melt you into jelly, so get ready to make me your NEWEST family member!! Cardamom is a buddy perfect for discussing gossip with a Coffee or Expresso Martinis kind of gal. As a mature lady, she dressed for the chilly weather in a fleece and accompanied her foster to a patio for late night happy hour. She was quiet and relaxed, observant and alert. She doesn't mind running errands or going on car rides. Cardamom likes being around her foster mom and having company. She “owns” the room. All dogs respect her presence. She is an alpha Queen but never more than by growling or barking. She will not engage in a dog fight, -all bark, no bite. Cardamom came to us as a mature neglected dog who needed a full dental with teeth extractions due to broken front teeth, spay with masses and heartworm treatment. She had been severely neglected and used for breeding. Her 'old lady lumps' were removed and not cancerous. Since treatment, her coat has grown back in and she is spunky and eager to show off her bossy self. She requires no on-going special medical attention, just the routine vaccines and prevention. She is cropped with a docked tail and Blue Doberman. Look past the Scars and her need to be protective, she loves people and wants affection. This sweet mama dog who has embraced being a house dog, couches and blankets - she can be found curled up on any chair or next to people.
