Story
Meet Bruno! Bruno is a handsome Rottweiler mix looking for his forever family. Bruno can be nervous in new situations but quickly warms up...especially if you have a tasty treat in hand. He gets along great with other dogs and enjoys running in the yard with his canine friends. Bruno is hoping to find his new home soon. Could it be you? All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over six-months of age are heartworm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records. If you are interested in this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey by hitting "Apply for Adoption" on the profile. After we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within three business days. We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience. Please note- Out of respect for our volunteers and staff, we are closed on Sundays and Mondays and will not be processing any applications on that day. Do get back to us right away when we call or email regarding an application so that we can quickly connect using the process below: Select a pet and submit an online adoption survey. A PCH adoption counselor will contact potential adopters within three business days (PCH cannot guarantee any pet's availability, but we make every effort to accommodate adopters with a reply and possible alternative suggestions). Counselor and client will then have a conversation to answer questions, discuss any medical needs for the pet and determine the suitability of a match (if necessary, we may opt to put adopters in touch with foster parents). After a match is made, clients will be asked to sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee online through our secure payment system *Please see our modified no-risk return policy. (below) The PCH adoption counselor will then set up a specific appointment time and location. Adopters should bring a pet carrier and leash to pick up. Adult pets will be wearing a collar. It is important that clients arrive on time, neither early nor late.

Story
Brownie has really come out of his shell in his foster home. He enjoys playing with his foster brothers, loves going on walks and does very well not pulling. He is happy to remove a squeaker from his stuffed toys. Brownie has started to fetch the ball and bring it back (when he feels like it). He is doing well being crate trained, he enters on command and exits on command. He also does well sleeping in a room overnight with no accidents and loves the extra attention. He is playful and loving, yet still a tad hesitant around men. He loves car rides! He will benefit with continued training as he's a young boy. He's full of love and kisses and is ready for a home to call his own. Story
I was a transfer in from a local animal control facility. I had been an owner relinquish after they left me tied to a tree. KCHF scooped me up and got me scheduled for a spay, where they discovered that I had a mammary mass. It was removed and sent off for testing, where it showed positive for cancer, but a follow up chest x-ray showed that it hadn`t spread to my lungs yet! It seems like it was discovered just in time. Although I`m a senior, I have quite a bit of energy. I love to play, but I also ADORE rolling over and getting belly rubs. I show the best smile! I also stomp my back legs when I`m getting butt scratches because there is nothing better in the world than butt scratches. I`m ready for a retirement home that will treat me like the princess I know I am!
