Hey there, I'm Stark! I might not have a cape, but I'm pretty super. I found myself in this shelter after a daring rescue mission. See, I was playing with my pals when a squirrel got stuck up a tree. With my bravery, energy, and a little bit of doggy ingenuity, I managed to coax it down. But, in the process, I got lost and ended up here. I'm independent, but I also love a good game of fetch. I'm loyal, always ready to lend a paw to a friend in need. I'm playful, and I promise to bring laughter and joy to your life. Adopt me, and let's start our own superhero story together!

Peek-a-Boo! Pongo is popping in to say hi and let you know he is searching for the perfect family. Pongo is pretty relaxed for a puppy, but still a playful ball of fun! Pongo loves spending time outside chasing his sister. He loves chew toys and tennis balls. He is still adjusting to his foster home and has been a little timid, but he REALLY wants attention. Due to his high prey drive he hasn’t interacted with his feline foster siblings. We don’t think he’d hurt them intentionally, but he’s still just a pup and doesn’t know his own strength. This smart guy is crate trained and working hard on potty training, he’s already pee-pad trained! Pongo is very treat motivated and smart, if you’re willing to put in the time training him we think he can learn anything! Prudence (aka Pru) would love to find the best family. Her requirements: a loving family, a soft bed to nap on and most importantly endless belly rubs and ear scratches. In return she promises to provide you a life filled with laughter, love, and puppy kisses! When not trying to get attention from her humans, Pru loves chasing tennis balls and chewing on chew toys. She also loves the great outdoors, especially when it means a game of chase with her brother. Due to her high prey drive, we haven’t had her interacting with her foster feline siblings. She’s still such a puppy. We don’t think she’d intentionally hurt them but she doesn’t have the “off switch” of more mature dog. In her foster home, Pru is working hard on her crate training and potty training! We think Pru is one smart cookie. Speaking of cookies, this lady loves her treats so training her should be easy. Are you looking for a mellow, laid back gal, who just wants to please her people and asks for nothing but love in return?? Then look no further and meet Jan!Jan is an adult female mixed breed who weighs in at around 55 pounds. Sadly, Jan spent her entire life in a shelter and found herself at risk of euthanasia when the shelter had to close their doors. Luckily for Jan, an AHF foster stepped up and was able to save Jan just in time! While Jan can be timid/shy at first, she warms up quickly and once she does, wherever you go, she won't be far behind. She is currently fostered with several other dogs of both genders and various sizes- and while she's not over the top playful, she does get along great with them and is very respectful of them. Aside from dogs, she is also cat friendly & kid friendly (she loves giving kisses to her 1 year old human foster sister). Jan is potty trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. If you're looking for an old soul (with an occasional moment of spunk here and there) in a young body, Jan is your girl! She's just a perfect little lady and has so much love to offer.
