Story
Shannon is a young athletic Rottweiler/ Pointer mix looking for her forever family! She has a beautiful coat, and an athletic build! Shannon is estimated to be around 1yr old, and weighs 55lbs. She is dog friendly, and very playful. Shannon is working on her house training, crate training, and is learning her basic commands. She has a sweet and friendly personality. This deserving girl was picked up as a stray, then ended up at Walton Animal Control. She soon came down with a respiratory illness. BarkVille Dog Rescue pulled her, and she is now fully healthy and vetted, and ready for her forever family. Shannon has a medium energy level, and would benefit from a family who will provide her basic training and regular exercise. She can jump very high, and will need a tall privacy fenced yard, and owners who will keep an eye on this mischievous girl. Shannon would likely excel with agility training! Since she still needs to fine tune her manners, no small kids for this girl. If you&#39re interested in adopting Shannon, please email us at info@barkvilledogrescue.org or submit an application at https://www.barkvilledogrescue.org/applications. BarkVille is located in Roswell, GA and our dogs are available for foster/adoption in the Greater Atlanta area. Applicants in surrounding states could potentially adopt a BarkVille dog if their application is approved, they live within 2-3 hours of the Greater Atlanta area, and they are able to pick up their dog from the foster home.October 5, 2025, 8:53 pm

Story
LOOKING FOR A GOOD LEADER:  Approx. 1 year old / Approx. 61 lbs. Hi, my name is Doc! I originally came to Mostly Mutts from animal control, and was adopted for a while, but it turned out not to be the right fit so I’m back with Mostly Mutts looking for the right home!  I’m currently in the prison/foster training program off-site having fun and learning a lot!  Please inquire at 770-272-6888 to find out when I'm available to meet.              • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I like playing with the other dogs I’ve met in the prison/foster training program, and when I’m finished playing, I’ll just lie down.  In my former home, I went to doggie daycare at times, so if you have a dog that would like a friend, let’s meet! / I got along with the cat in my former home though I did chase at times, but they reported it was not aggressively. All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another cat. / I haven’t met children recently so if you have kids 15+ and older, let’s meet and kids should not walk me.  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a nice dog who is looking for a nice, dog-savvy family to give me good leadership and clear rules.  I’m a smart pup with working-breed traits, so I’ll thrive with plenty of mental stimulation and things to keep my brain busy.  I have a bit of neck sensitivity, so it’s best not to grab my collar suddenly.  There were 2 minor bites in the past, but I always give clear warning signs first.  My trainer will be glad to explain this and share tips to help set us up for success.  I’m affectionate with most people, a little selective with others, and sometimes get mouthy when I play.  With the right guidance, I’ll be a loyal, loving companion who just needs someone to believe in me. So, if you’re looking for a dog to be active with and you enjoy training as well as being a good leader to your dog, we could be a great fit!  / My energy level is 3-5 in the prison/foster training program, so a nice 30-minute walk when out to potty seems to be what I need.  But remember I do also want mental stimulation such as puzzle toys and games. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm a proud graduate of the Mostly Mutts University training program, so I've mastered the 'sit', 'stay', 'down', 'come', 'drop it', 'leave it' and 'place' commands.  I also use proper door etiquette and have good leash walking manners as well as accept nice strangers without jumping.  I really enjoy my training, and I’ve recently started training to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test, which is a 10-skill program that teaches dogs good manners at home and in the community.  I’m excited to keep learning and showing off my best manners as I work toward this goal!  I have also been to 2 additional Mostly Mutts after adoption training classes. / My crate manners are good in the prison/foster training program and were also good in my former home. / My potty manners are good in the prison/foster training program and were also reported as good in my former home.    • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I like spending time with people, playing puzzle games and mental stimulation with toys and training together.  I’m sure we’ll find lots of other things we’ll like doing together, too! / As mentioned above, I’ve struggled with collar reactivity and there have been a select few people I didn’t care for. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.    • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  Not long after my initial rescue as a puppy, it was discovered that I was born with Legg-Perthes Disease and needed double FHO surgery. Thanks to the great care I received, I had my surgery, completed my recovery and physical therapy, and am doing really well!  I am taking an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin to keep my joints feeling their best. I am looking for a wonderful and loving home with a great family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  October 3, 2025, 10:55 am

Story
**Home for the Holidays adoption special.  Half price adoption fee through December 31st     What's not to love about me? I'm a cute, petite, super snuggler and I heard a guy named Rick wrote a song about me!!! I'm Jessie Girl. They say I'm a boxer mix, but I'm not even 40 pounds. Fommy thinks I might have some Boston terrier in me, which would explain a few things. I love the other dogs in my foster home, but I would not be good on a farm. Little critters trigger my "chase" drive, so please do not bring cats or rabbits.   I'm a super snuggler who loves to be under the covers - and that's any covers; I'm not picky, but I especially love to be under yours so I can be all warm and cozy. I'm house-trained and crate-trained, but I don't walk nicely on a leash. However, with lots of patience and training, you can teach me. You see, I'm pretty unruly on walks and even scream when overexcited, so teaching me how to redirect and refocus would be our number one priority. But a home with a nice, secure, tall fence will be great. That way, I won't get the leash crazies. I'm just a simple family girl out here looking for her forever life. If that might be you, let's meet to see!       For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Marsha May - friend to all, cuddler extrodinaire, and full of joy, is ready for her forever home.    This spotty girl checks all the boxes: Housetrained Crate trained Dog-friendly  Kid-friendly Affectionate Young enough to play, old enough to behave   Marsha May loves everyone so would be happiest in a home where she has company much of the time. Although she is always ready to play, she takes cues from her people and other dogs when it is time to settle down. This makes Marsha May a great work-from-home or relaxing companion. She'll lay down in her dog bed right next to you, but also a perfect partner for outdoor activities. She loves chasing squirrels and sniffing around a fenced yard, but would be fine in a home without, as long as she could get outside for walks and playtime.   Marsha May is a happy, easy-going girl, who will show you her love and make you smile every day.     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
