Story
Meet Dijon, a young, playful, and sweet soul who is filled with energy and loyalty. His goofy antics will keep you laughing, and his bravery shines through in every new situation he encounters. Dijon is great with other dogs, making him a perfect companion for those with canine friends. However, he prefers a home without cats or young children. He requires an experienced owner who can match his energy and guide him. Dijon is currently learning proper manners in a board-in-trained that was graciously sponsored so he can be 110% ready to easily transition into his forever home. Dijon's playful spirit and unwavering loyalty make him the perfect addition to any family. He is ready to fill a home with laughter, joy, and unconditional love. Adopt Dijon and let his cheerful energy light up your life. Unfortunatley, Dijon does have a history of seizures and must be on prescription medication for the rest of his life. His seizures are non-existent while on medications since he has been in our program. Adopting Dijon means bringing a forever friend and cuddle buddy home to join your family. Dijon weighs 105lbs., is approximately 2 years old (est. birth date 05/28/2022), and his adoption fee is $305. Dijon has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. If you want to know more about Dijon, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. Meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.

Story
Meet Vadar! Vadar is a pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. Weighing around 40 pounds, this handsome boy is a true mix of breeds - his DNA test reveals he's 38% Rottweiler, 34% American Staffordshire Terrier, 20% Pitbull Terrier, 6% Australian Shepherd, and even 2% Mini American Shepherd. In other words, he’s 100% adorable! Due to a leg injury he is on doctors orders to be on crate rest and short leash walks only at this time to much of his dismay. Like any puppy, Vadar has plenty of energy to burn and is still learning his manners, so he'll need a family ready to guide him with patience and positive reinforcement. He loves being around people and is curious about other dogs, making him a great companion for an active home (after he gets re-assessed of course). After a fun-filled day of play, Vadar is all about snuggling up and relaxing—he’s the perfect cuddle buddy! Vadar is approximately 40 lbs and 5 months old (est. birthday 08/08/24). Vadar is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on all age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives. His adoption fee is $510. Puppies require a lot of time and commitment. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about Vadar, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog.
