He seems to love children. He will require slow introductions to new people but bonds well with his trusted people. He loves some good butt and back scratches and did we mention he is just SO DARN CUTE. His ideal home would be a couple he could slowly be introduced to. He has a protective nature, so someone with rottie/guardian breed experience would be ideal. He has been friendly with other social, friendly dogs. Taz is a 10 years old, Pitbull, Rottweiler mix. He is not friendly with other pets and has no experience with children, so zero children. He is super affectionate, obedient, intelligent and sensitive. He loves routine, it actually suits him because of his age. He is house broken, a huge lover, cuddler and dancer and he loves to watch TV. I can't have him because of the fact that there are so many dogs here and the fact that he's in a tiny apartment, which where I live and the building does not allow for more than one dog for the unit size that I have. I have two dogs, although getting him to love my girl dog was a lengthy and stressful process, they are now inseparable, so it is possible for him. The fact that he is not friendly with other dogs is a constant risk every single time I walk him. He is NOT aggressive, he was simply never socialized as a puppy (he was initially my X fiancs dog). When he sees other dogs he cries and sometimes barks. He's gotten soooooo much better with the barking, as I have been consistently working on training and conditioning him as best as I can. He is always wagging his tail when he sees the other dogs, I think he just doesn't know how to act because of the fact that he was not socialized. He's just such a sweet and such a good boy! Adoption fee is $100 and includes DHPP & rabies vaccinations heartworm testing spayed/neutered, deworming and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. She was an owner surrender due to her allergy issues. The young girl who surrendered her did not have the knowledge or money to properly get her diagnosed and as a result poor Jade suffered for a very long time. We took her to our vet and treated her with antibiotics as well as changed her diet to eliminate gluten. Jade has completely transformed in 4 short weeks. She is happy, playful and pain free! She gets along great with other dogs and would do great in a home with children. She is crate trained and potty trained. Jade is spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, fecal tested negative, heartworm tested negative, and on flea/tick and heart worm prevention. Jade is being fostered in Lake Worth, FL.
