Ted is a big-hearted Rottie with an even bigger personality. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was extremely fearful and unsure of people, but with time and patience, he’s blossomed into the sweetest boy. Ted truly believes he’s a lap dog and loves to soak up affection from those he trusts. His favorite things in the world are soft stuffed toys, which he proudly carries around, and tasty treats, which make him highly motivated to learn. Ted would do best in a structured home familiar with his breed and their needs, as he’s still working on his training. He’s been great with other dogs, happily playing with those who want to engage and peacefully coexisting with those who prefer their space.Because he can be nervous with new individuals, Ted is part of our “Build the Bond” program and is currently available by appointment only with specific staff members. If you’re interested in meeting Ted and starting the process toward adoption, please call the shelter to schedule an appointment.

Meet Snickers!Snickers is naturally playful and loving. He prefers to stick to someone like velcro until it`s time for a nap. He tells us he wants affection by nudging our hands while standing or laying his head on our knees when we sit. He loves everyone, especially kids, and wants to be friends with other dogs—and even cats. When playing, he`s very gentle! He won`t bite his toys hard enough to squeak, but is awed when we squeak it for him. He LIVES for walks. Because he`s smart, he learns commands quick and we`re working on teaching them to him!
