Story
Hey-o, I`m Neo! I`m a tri-colored boy with a golden heart. My life got off to a bit of a slow start, and it seems I may have spent most of the time in a crate. Because of this, I do need a few minutes to warm up to new people and new places, so I may do best in an adult-only home for now. Once I know you, I act like a very typical puppy! I will dance around you with excitement whenever you get home, I love to snuggle up with you, and toys are definitely amazing. I can keep myself occupied with stuffed animals and Nylabones while you get work done, though I may ask for the occasional game of tug-o-war. My housebreaking and crate training are coming along splendidly thanks to my incredible foster momma, and I`ve learned lots about leash manners and how to feel confident out in the world. I`m curious about other big doggies and think I would like to play with them but may be a little too curious about kitties. If you have a kind heart, I would love the opportunity to get to know you!

Story
Deacon is an amazing Dog with so much love and experience at a young age. He’s great with People; animals and is well behaved. I have a small apartment so feel it’s unfair for me to keep him in a cage at work. He needs space and a good family.

Story
Meet Butterfinger!Butterfinger is a distinguished 10-year-old Rottweiler with a calm and gentle demeanor. He’s easy to leash and walk, making him a pleasure to handle, and he enjoys spending time calmly exploring the yard.Butterfinger loves meeting new people and is very friendly, always happy to greet visitors with a wagging tail and warm demeanor. However, he is less comfortable with other dogs, particularly when they approach him while on a leash. In these situations, he will give clear warnings and corrections to maintain his space. In playgroup, Butterfinger exhibits barrier reactivity and can appear slightly defensive at times. He does best with slow introductions and benefits from human guidance to navigate interactions. He responds well to steering and shows discomfort through appropriate corrections when needed.Butterfinger would thrive in a home where he is the only dog or where his interactions with other dogs can be managed thoughtfully. With his calm, gentle personality and love for people, Butterfinger is sure to make a wonderful and loyal companion for someone who appreciates his dignified nature.

Story
Captain Goober came to us in bad shape. He had a very badly injured leg. We were lucky enough to get some funding from a special donor to the UF Small Animal Hospital and he was able to receive a very expensive and specialized surgery, and rehab to fix him. Captain was also very undersocialized with both humans and dogs. Due to this, he will likely time to warm up to any new people, but if you can be patient with him, he is such a good dog and has come so far! He also circles when nervous, but this is simply a soothing technique for him, and not a neurological concern. He absolutely is not fond of cats and should not go to a home with any cats or smaller animals. He has not been around children, but should be find with older kids, provided them give him time to warm up and let him come to them on his own. He would do best with a female dog that is playful but accepting of some pushy behvaiors. He will also have arthritis in his healed leg, and would do best on supplements. We are looking for an adopter with breed experience.
