Story
Hi, I`m Roach! I am a 4 year old Rottweiler who would love to be your best friend! I have been paired with a couple of friendly pups here at the shelter so I may do well with another dog in the home given a proper introduction. I went on a doggie day out adventure with a volunteer on 10/5 and here is what they had to say: `Roach was happy to get in the car after it became clear he would have my daughter as a backseat companion. He was quiet in the car and didn’t mind his doggie seatbelt. He eventually put his head in my daughter’s lap and fell asleep. We spent much of the day roaming the Folsom Lake area where was polite to people of all ages. He enjoyed their pets and didn’t try to lick hands or faces He kept his tongue to himself and his feet on the ground! No jumping up! He was interested in other dogs but did not bark, lunge or pull to see them. We did not have him do any meet and greets with other dogs today, but all indications are that he wouldn’t mind living with other dogs. He walked pretty well on the leash. We did not feel dragged around at all! He was incredibly well behaved at a restaurant even with another dog seated nearby on the patio. He loved his treats and they really helped him pay attention to us throughout the day. He is a big water drinker!!`
