Story
How this pet arrived: Dodger was brought in by his previous owner on June 4, 2024. Why Dodger is the one for you:Meet Dodger! This adorable pup takes some time to warm up to new people and situations, but once he feels comfortable, his infectious smile is all yours! Dodger is an active boy and is looking for somebody to go on adventures with. He isn't the biggest fan of being left alone, and much prefers having someone around to keep him company. Dodger has a positive history with other dogs, but isn't a fan of sharing his food. This behavior is referred to as resource guarding and will need to be managed (feeding separated by a barrier, not leaving edible items out). This smart boy is bilingual, is crate trained, knows how to "sit" and would love to learn new tricks! Due to his "stranger danger," Dodger requires a patient family without young children (under 10). All household members must be present to meet this sweet boy. If you're ready to give Dodger the loving family he deserves, head over to our Oceanside campus today! How this pet arrived: Rocko was brought in by a community member on December 7, 2024. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Rocko, a big-hearted boy with an even bigger love for attention! This sweet and spirited pup sometimes thinks he's a lap dog, happily snuggling up as close as he can. Rocko is always up for a game of fetch and shows his excitement with the cutest tippy taps of his paws. Since he's a strong and enthusiastic boy, he'll need a bit of work on leash training to help channel his energy. If you're ready to welcome a playful and affectionate companion into your life, Rocko is excited to meet his new family! Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 98 Age: 2yrs 4mths 1wks

Meet your New Best Friend at an Adoption Event near you! Arasha is thinking about coming to an adoption event near you very soon. If you’d like to learn more about this pup and their fluffy friends who are looking for their furever homes, check out our website: https://amazingdogs.org/available-dogs/ If you would like to reserve this doggie and have us bring them to the event of your choice for you to meet first, you can do so by paying a non-refundable deposit of $50 to our Venmo or Zelle account (619-918 2142 in the name of Amazing Dogs; pls indicate your telephone number). This deposit will go towards the adoption fee. After receipt of your deposit, we will confirm your reservation and list the doggie on our website as ‘Pending Adoption’. All our doggies come with their health record and have received all necessary medical care, which includes (but is not limited to) all vaccines, de-wormer, anti-flea/tick medication, microchip and of course spay/neuter surgery. Our adoption fee is $500. Only in California, the fee for babies under a year old is $600. Please consider this not as a price you pay for the doggie, but as a (tax-deductible) donation to our charity, so we can continue our work and take care of the 250+ dogs in our shelter. Read more about why we charge adoption fees here: https://amazingdogs.org/adoption-fees/ If you have any additional inquiries, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via call or text. Story
Rocky is a Rottweiler Mix, his estimated date of birth is 2/7/12 and he weighs 75 lbs. He is up to date on all of his shots and he is fixed. Rocky is OK with people but is not good with kids, cats, or small dogs. Rocky has a habit of jumping and he has a tendency to try to escape so he would need a home that was very secure. Rocky has food aggression and is very possessive of toys and people. He can sometimes have an over protective drive to certain people.  Rocky can be very vocal and would require a home with a lot of space as Rocky prefers to roam and would become destructive if restricted in a small space. Rocky is not good with new people or places and can be aggressive to other male dogs. He requires regular grooming and requires a special diet. Rocky is afraid of water and can become agitated by running water or large areas of water. He has a habit of dumping out his water dish. Rocky is not good on a leash despite repeated training and still has issues with house training and marking. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. If you are interested in a particular dog please FILL OUT an Adoption Application at our website @ http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt and we can schedule you for an appointment to meet with a particular dog if it is available. We do require an application if you are interested in adoption.  If you are interested in potentially adopting please fill out an application at http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt. Story
Oliver is a young, energetic, Rottie boy that is sweet and sensitive and great with people. He will need someone who is willing to put time into training but Oliver is receptive and willing, and with that, he will be an amazing canine companion. Oliver is good with other large dogs, we have not had him with small dogs or cats. He will chase livestock so he needs to be a city boy. If he's to be outside unsupervised, his home must have a six foot fence.

Story
Rebar is a beautiful long-coated rottweiler. He is sweet, calm, and easy going. Rebar Is happy to be in the house chilling with his people or playing with his toys. He is purebred and was sold as a puppy but now that he's an adult, he was dumped by the freeway, and ended up on the shelters kill list. The person that bred him had aleady gotten his money and refused to take him back and rehome him as a responsible breeder would do. Rebar has a stocky, muscular build and deserves the respinsible loving home he should have had all along.
