Story
Hi, I'm Clifford, and I'm one and a half years old. Unfortunately, my previous owners didn't feel the need to keep me anymore and just let me go. Fortunately, I stumbled across another family who loved me dearly. Still, they could not keep me due to circumstances that caused them to surrender me to DHS. I'm a strong yet well-trained rotwiller mix with a lovely black and brown coat. I'm a very well-mannered pup who can sit, give handshakes, and wait to eat. OH, and let me tell ya, I LOVE to eat, snack, and be given treats. With how much I love to munch, I also love to go on walks daily, which helps balance his eating habits. I also get along with other large dogs and love car rides.  ##2241420##

Story
Sadie is a very sweet girl that was found as a stray in rural Stockton. She can be a bit timid at first, but quickly rolls over for belly rubs once she gets to know you. Since she was a stray we don't know too much about her, but we think she is about 2 years old based on her teeth. She has been at the shelter for enough time to leash-train her and determine she is good with other medium sized dogs introduced to her in play groups. The person who found her said that she rides very well in the car and didn't make a peep. She does have the standard Rottie docked tail. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped and she is ready to go home for an adoption fee of $300.00. Apply today for a chance to meet her! Please visit our website www.petsnpals.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
Reuben is a 60 pound dog who is 3 years old. He loves to play and the quickest way to his heart is treats! This guy loves to eat. In fact, he might very well be named after the sandwich! Due to being so food motivated it makes him easy to direct and teach things to! One of his favorite pastimes is food puzzle toys! He`s really good at them! You can time him and so far his record is 3 minutes! He enjoys fetch but sometimes he gets distracted and won`t bring things back so he is working on it. He almost always catches balls when you throw them though! Reuben recently went on a Foster FURlough fieldtrip! Reuben visited Green Acres, stopped by Starbucks for a pup cup, and took a stroll by the river. Reuben`s FURlough Friend says: `He was amazing at greeting people. He was very good on leash as well. He was very treat motivated, and knew sit. He did no barking at other dogs or small animals. He let strangers pet him. He did great in the car as well. He walked into the river and loved it! He was slightly hesitant at first but eventually he was overjoyed by being in the river and was begging to go deeper.` Reuben sounds like the perfect partner for someone who enjoys hanging at the river during the Sacramento summer and then cuddling up on the couch afterwards!Reuben`s adoption fee has been generously sponsored by Green Acres!I have lived in a home with another dog and may do well with a slow introduction to new dogs!I don’t have a history with cats. I may do well with them with a slow introduction!I don’t have a history with children but I may do well with them!If you are interested in this specific animal, please come to the shelter for walk-in adoptions Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30am to 5:30pm. We recommend coming in as early as possible, as adoptions are first-come, first-served.

Story
I brought Skye as a puppy from my daughter in law in Ohio as she was the breeder. He is about 2.5 years old . He can be the most affectionate dog 99% of the time but at times and for no reason can be irritable . Most of the time he gets along with my male border collie but there’s times when my border collie is intimidated by him and that’s the reason I wish to surrender him .. I think he would be best with a one owner . He sits up and can be so cute , he just isn’t a trusting dog and for no reason as he has always been loved and treated well
