Story
He is a beautiful boy. He is 130 pounds and 5’10”….strong boy. Still puppyish at 18-20 months old. We got him this year in April annd they guessed 8-10 months old. He is bulletproof…Our daughters can poke him in the eye with no response. They constantly jump on him. They can grab his food dish with no response. He is constantly around 8 kittens and ducks. They rub on him and walk between his feet with no reaction. BUT he has killed chickens. He is lovely in every way except he breaks our fencing and kills our chickens. He does overnights in the house when cold (no problem but never left him all day) but he is very much an outside dog. Very little time in the house. He knows sit, stay, down, leave it. He’s perfect in every way except he breaks down our fences and is too big of a cuddly bear to be running around in public. People freak out because he’s a big rotty even though he himself is harmless.

Story
Ruffus is a love bunny that would cuddle 24 hours a day if he had a human that could. We have a tradition that he jumps on my bed and I give him a full body pet to start the day. I have a large yard and chasing squirrels and balls is his full time job. He LOVES other dogs of all sizes and tends to be the protector of all dogs, as he is often surrounded by many of them. He should go to a home that has another dog to play with. Ruffus is a great dog and .over most people but he will also pick his one person that he will love and protect. That person is me in this household. Unfortunately I did not give him proper training, and now after back surgery I can no longer take him jumping on me or him herding me into a wall when he thinks he is protecting me. It breaks my heart that I will have to give up Ruffus, but I am hoping that a loving person with experience with big dogs will find this profile and adopt this beautiful dog.

Story
Hi, I’m Enola! Through no fault of my own, I found myself at the shelter in search of my perfect furever family. While I’m waiting to meet you, I’m busy practicing my manners, both on and off the leash. I’m currently kenneled with another dog, so with a slow and proper introduction, I’m likely to get along with other dogs. Please come meet me!I also went on a doggie day out adventure on 10/19 with a volunteer! Here is what they had to say `We walked around midtown. She was very interested in squirrels and meeting other people and happily accepted pets when people came to say hi. Then we headed to a little harvest festival where she got to smell lots of new things and get pets from friendly people. She would have loved to meet the other dogs we saw. We had a little down time at our house where she napped on the couch and gave lots of kisses. When excited to meet someone or get something, she tried to jump some, but after settling in with us and getting some energy out, she was a great listener. She would be easy to train. She sits very nicely and happily accepts treats. She may a Velcro dog as she was following her people around the house, wanting to stay close. She`s excitable but able to be calmed and is a very sweet and friendly girl!`*Enola`s adoption fee has been paid for with a donation from a community member
