Story
Introducing Kong, a three year old Rottweiler/Bernese cross weighing approximately 110lbs. This easygoing boy enjoys the simple pleasures in life such as food, attention and balls. Actually, the phrase "ball is life" may have been coined by Kong, we aren't really sure. 😁 ‼️‼️ King and Kong are a bonded pair and hoping for a home together. What's better than one adorable and loving boy? How about two adorable and loving boys to keep themselves entertained? ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ Kong enjoys hanging out with other dogs and enjoys the company of older children. At this time, Kong hasn't been tested with cats. Kong enjoys his daily walks and can pull out of excitement if he sees another dog. He walks well in a halti but could use a strong leader to provide direction and guidance. Kong is a master at potty training and he does well in his crate. His laidback personality suggests he can be a little lazy at times but his loving side shines through all the time, constantly asking for love and attention. 😍 Once Kong has placed his full trust in you, you are hard pressed to find a more loyal companion who just wants to be where you are. Add ball in that equation and Kong is the happiest boy! 😁 If you're ready to open your heart and home to a very loving boy, apply today to meet Kong. Bonus if he can share his home with King! 💙

Story
Meet King, a three year old Rottweiler/Bernese cross weighing approximately 110lbs. While his name suggests royalty and aristocracy, King is the biggest softie and goofball around....pets, love and attention are the things he asks for and his silly demeanour will have you smiling constantly. 😍 ‼️‼️ King and Kong are a bonded pair and hoping for a home together. What's better than one adorable and loving boy? How about two adorable and loving boys to keep themselves entertained? ☺️☺️☺️☺️☺️ King does well with other dogs and enjoys the company of older children. At this time, King hasn't been tested with cats. He's very interested in birds. We don't have the heart to tell him he couldn't catch one but this softie would likely do no harm even if he could. 😉 King enjoys his walks and needs a strong leader to provide direction and guidance. He walks well with a halti and likes to pull out of excitement when he sees another dog. King has perfected potty training and he does well in his crate. This boy just wants to please his people. ☺️ King likes food, dogs, people, balls, hikes and attention....not necessarily in that order. 😉 His silly personality will surely keep you laughing daily. King isn't a fan of fireworks, lightening and thunder but he'll take the extra attention given. ☺️ Love and hope go a long way. King is looking for a safe and loving home where he can be his goofiest self. Bonus if he can share his home with Kong! Apply today to meet King! 💙

Story
Befitting her name meaning rippling water, Popples is a high energy, active gal who keeps life fun! p🥳 Popples is a 1.5 year old Boxer/Brussels Griffon mix weighing approximately 40 pounds. ❣️Popples is truly a one-of-a-kind little gremlin. Her goofy antics and playful personality will bring joy to any home. She loves chewing on antlers, playing fetch, and snuggling with her favorite humans. While she can be reactive around other dogs, she's making significant strides in her socialization journey. With proper introductions and managed playdates, she could thrive in a home with a well-mannered canine companion. She is not suited for an off-leash dog park or doggy daycare. 🐕 🧑‍🤝‍🧑Popples' boundless energy and playful nature might be a bit much for young children. She'd do best in a home with older kids/adults who can keep up with her and provide the mental and physical stimulation she craves. Cats? Not so much. They seem to resemble tasty snacks to Popples, she wouldn't do well with other small animals either. 🚫🐈 😱Popples is a great walker when the environment is calm and quiet. However, she can get a bit fearful around bicycles, loud trucks and loud noises. With consistent training and a strong, patient human, she can learn to manage her reactivity. She is a total pro at crate training. She's happy to relax in her crate, especially during her recovery period. As she continues to grow and learn, she can gradually transition to free-roaming.💗 🚽Popples potty trained and very efficient in doing so outside! A Few Things to Note: - Popples can be a bit wary of the "cone of shame." - She's a big fan of most toys, but antlers are her absolute favorite. - Popples needs an active lifestyle including daily walks, playtime, and mental stimulation.🏃

Story
Meet Thelma! 🐾 This 6-9 month-old, 40-lb Red Doberman is the perfect blend of beauty, brains, and boundless energy. With her sleek, chocolate-colored coat and striking tan markings, Thelma catches everyone's eye. She's about 18 inches tall, compact and ready for adventure—whether it's playing in the yard, chasing after her foster sister, or curling up for a cozy nap. Thelma is as clever as she is adorable. When she's playing with her foster sister, Dottie, she's figured out that speed isn't always her strong suit—so she takes the smart approach, using shortcuts and outwitting her playmate during their backyard chases. Wrestling and nibbling are her go-to play styles, though her foster family sometimes steps in to give the mouth games a break. She has a playful spirit, but she's also quick to take direction and settle down when needed. One of Thelma's favorite pastimes is collecting all the toys! Whether it's plush, squeaky, or something she can chew on, she's all about grabbing them one by one and making a little toy mountain at her favorite spot on the sectional sofa. It's not just playtime—it's strategy! And if her foster sister tries to steal a toy, it only adds to the fun for Thelma. When it comes to her quirks, Thelma has a unique obsession: the TV! She barks whenever a horse, dog, or big cat shows up on screen. Whether it's a lion in a nature documentary or a dog in a commercial, she's quick to notice and let her opinion be known. She may need a little redirecting (and perhaps a chew toy) to help you enjoy your show in peace. Leash training is still a work in progress for this curious girl. On walks, Thelma is eager to explore and greet other dogs and may resort to pulling at times and a few friendly barks—not out of aggression, but more likely from frustration at not being able to say hello. She's also fascinated by squirrels and other critters she encounters outdoors. Patience, some treats, and training will help her channel that enthusiasm into better leash manners. At home, Thelma is making great progress. She's believed to be fully house trained and only had one accident on her first day here. Now, she knows the routine and heads outside to do her business. When it comes to her crate, she's a bit hesitant at first but can't resist the lure of a tasty treat to get her inside. She sleeps through the night in her crate and spends time there during the day when her foster parents are at work—having her foster sister nearby definitely helps her feel comfortable. As for new experiences, Thelma hasn't met any children or cats yet, so we're not sure how she'd react. But given her playful nature and smarts, we're sure she'd adapt with the right introductions. If you're ready to add this smart, playful gal to your life, Thelma's ready to meet you!
