Hi everyone, I am Cane and here's some information about me: Age: 6  yearsBreed: RottweilerHeight: 28"Weight: 140 lbsGender: Male Highlights: Strong-Willed and Loyal, Needs a Confident Leader I was originally rescued by Paw Stars out of California, and placed with a foster, but unfortunately the rescue suddenly shut down, which has left me looking for a new home. My current foster says that I am powerful, highly intelligent and loyal, but protective and that I thrive with strong, consistent leadership. What can I say, I have a working dog mindset and need an owner who is experienced, confident, and physically capable of managing a dog like me, thus not first-time dog owners or passive households.  I would do best in a home without small children or other pets and would love a stable environment with consistent structire and training. Being a dominant, but not aggressive dog, I just need someone to teach me clear boundaries and someone who is committed with me to my long-term success. I will be forever loyal to my family and for the right person, my foster thinks that I will be a 'once-in-a-lieftime' kind of dog. An adoption fee of $100 applies. THIS IS A COURTESY POST. Story
Meet Beautiful Bawang. His name is Chinese origin referring to a King or Overlord, a powerful presence, which this beautiful boy certainly has. He pretty much ticks all the boxes as far as adopting the perfect dog. Bawang is a 4.5 year old male Rottweiler and is neutered, shots up to date and is house trained. He is great with other dogs and people. He has not been tested with cats but we can see that he’s a really smart boy and quick learner and would most likely be easily trained to cats. He came from a home in Toronto who could no longer care for him and then was sent to a home in Vancouver. Unfortunately he was not taken good care of in his Vancouver home as the tenants were almost never home and as a result, Bawang was very neglected. He spent at least a year tied up to a three foot rope outside and was not allowed in the home or taken for walks or exercised. A wonderfully amazing, kind person saw him and asked to take him and the owners kindly surrendered Bawang over. He is now safe in a special dog care facility and is able to play freely with other dogs and he goes out for walks all the time. Bawang is incredibly smart and learns commands and what you want from him, very fast. When he is trained to do something he will get used to it and remember it very quickly. He is an energetic young boy and loves his running and exercising. He walks well on a leash as well. He is true to his breed that he is confident and will stand loyally by the side of whomever he makes a home with. The home Bawang goes to will need to have consistent and constant leadership, love and training as he is a pleaser and wants to do well and work hard for you. Because he is a younger strong boy with energy, he needs his walks and hikes and play. An ideal home for him is someone who has a yard for him to play, will take him to dog hikes walks and parks and is active. He is a typical sweet playful version of his breed His is truly a prize and we will be looking forward to meeting the home that he will be able to live his best life in forever. He truly is one in a million! Please contact us here if you feel you are the right home for this handsome sweet boy!

Story
Hi there. I'm CHANI and here is some info about me:Breed: Boxer/Shepard mixAge: 4 yrsGender: FemaleWeight: 40 lbsCountry of origin: US, New MexicoHighlights: loving, active, playful, snuggly, loyal More than anything in the world, I love spending time with people. Snugglesssssss.Like many dogs in Roswell, I was found as a stray with my puppies and picked up by the animal shelter. My puppies were all adopted and I ended up on the euthanasia list when my time ran out. Thankfully, I was pulled out by a rescue group just in time.I am a lovable girl with a bit of sass and a splash of energy! Loyal and loving are my middle names. This girl is all about toys, water play, and having fun—but I also have a mellow side when it's time to chill. My rescuers say I am amazing with kids (though there is no current video of this) and could fit into an active or a more relaxed home.Snuggling with my foster mom on the bed is an especially loved time for me, as long as I don't have to share her attention with my foster siblings. I do get along with other easy going dogs, but would be delighted to be your one and only. Probably a top alpha is not a good match, as I am a dominant female, but can be neutral with submissive dogs.I have a strong prey drive and should not be with small dogs or cats. I do have food resource guarding and therefore need to be fed separately, if there are other dogs in the home. It would be great if you could get a trainer to help alleviate this issue. It probably stems from trying to survive on the street and care for my babies. It would be terrific if you like to be adventurous and do activities like hiking, paddle boarding or other sports. But if not, a back yard to play in would be nice too. So long as we can get out for a bit of exercise on a regular basis, it's all good. I'm sure we could have loads of fun together. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper. ##2621351##

Story
Hellooo wonderful people out there!! My name is Rexy. Let me share a few details about me... Age:  1 yr, 8 mos    Breed: Doberman   Weight:  70 lbs    Height:  I'm small for my breed. Exact measurements to follow Features:  calm, playful, I love to cuddle and any form of kind attention, no aggression whatsoever! I was born in Greater Vancouver and was adopted by a nice woman who loves me dearly. It's just that I am her first dog and she is finding it challenging to meet my very typical dog needs like walks when she has other responsibilities in life. As a result, she has made the hard decision to rehome me. I am aware of how hard this decision was for her but she will feel better when I find my wonderful forever adopter. I am hoping that that person has a yard for me to run around in, a few nice nature walks close to home, perhaps a friendly dog park for me to socialize at, and in-home humans who will love to play, cuddle, and generally be my adoring pack.  I love to chase a ball (and I even bring it back)! I also love to show you what skills I already have...like sit, wait, come, high five, shake a paw, and lie down. I like the treats when I do these things but I think I'd probably do them anyway because of my love for my human pack members. A really good feature about me is that I have been around young children and I have treated them with the utmost of respect. That being said, they also treated me with respect so it was a win-win. I even enjoy trying to play with the kitties although I've found that not all of them are as comfortable with me. I think it will just take them time to get to know me as I am respectful of everyone including kids, cats, and other dogs.  There are a few things I'm still working on but, hey, they're no big deal, especially given my general stellar qualities (haha).I'm still working on leash walking as I still pull a bit but I show no inappropriate behaviours around other dogs. Some men and people on bicycles can frighten me if they come close without me first being introduced to them. My response when I'm afraid is to simply pull back. Once I get introduced and I see that someone is kind, I give them a huge welcome. Another thing I'm working on is distancing myself from squirrels as I currently have a bit of a prey drive towards them. I think it might also be the case that I simply want to play with them as I have never been without the care of a human and so never had to catch my own dinner. Okay, you now know a bit about me. Can I learn a bit about you! Perhaps you'd like to go for a walk with me and see what a wonderful dog I am. I am available whenever my current human can be free. She is very much looking forward to me having a loving home with wonderful walks, hugs, cuddles, games, and adventures. Could you be the one to love me for the rest of my life?!! Energy Level: moderateI get along with:Dogs: yesCats: likelyKids: yes Fears: I find a few men a bit scary, and also bicycles that come up and surprise me. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Training:Leash skills: yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home setting. Health notes:I am about to be neutered. I have been vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes.
