Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Panda was adopted at 2 months old by a loving family who unwittingly nurtured all her worst qualities. This resulted in an insecure and entitled dog who behaved poorly in the home. Since being surrendered back to Paw Placement at 2 years old, Panda has come a long way. She's currently in a home with multiple dogs, lots of structure and calm, assertive leadership. Panda plays with dogs of all sizes and ages, she's gentle when necessary and can get rowdy with dogs who enjoy a rougher play style. She loves to chew bones and antlers, and rarely displays her resource guarding tendencies these days. She'll do best in a home that sets boundaries - no dogs on the couch, lie down while people are eating - and is willing to enforce those boundaries. She walks nicely on a leash, is mastering her obedience (sit, down, place, etc) and is crate and house trained. Panda has some stranger danger, has done well meeting people who initially ignore her, and has been ready to receive affection from them within 15 minutes or so. She's the same with new dogs and, though she loves dogs and thrives with them in a home with strong leadership, in the absence of that leadership, she'll need a home where she's the only pet. If you are interested in adopting, please complete an adoption application.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 6:22 pm

Story
When we imagine the life of a senior dog; it would look like several cozy places to lay, the finest foods and meds to help support an aging body, daily walks, car rides to your favorite places and endless amounts of love; like a lot of love. Unfortunately for Baxter, at 9 years old, he found himself in an overcrowded shelter, on a concrete floor and with an injury and skin/coat issues. We were absolutely crushed when we learned that the only way for Baxter to walk out of the shelter alive is if he had a rescue to back him. Not only did our rescue back him; we promised him the life he has always deserved! Baxter has been an amazing dog to rehab. His wounds have healed, his skin and coat are soft and shiny, and he has put on healthy weight! We have learned that Baxter’s love language is food and for that reason feel that a home with no children or older children 16+ would be best. Baxter is very tall and strong and would prefer a family that is not intimidated by that because underneath that big body is one of the sweetest hearts you will ever meet. He really enjoys being around his people, rides great in the car, walks well on a leash and is a social butterfly. Baxter hasn’t spent too much time around other dogs in our care but from what we have seen, he would do well as the only dog or with other dogs that do not want to play or jump on him. He enjoys keeping to himself and playing with his favorite toys! We hope you are ready to meet this gentle giant and give him what he most deserves...A HOME! Baxter’s adoption fee includes his completed veterinary exams, vaccines, microchip and neuter. Apply today to meet his handsome man! https://lovethemallrescue.org/baxter

Story
Although we are a husky rescue, we are working to get this gorgeous guy placed in the right home! One of our longtime fosters was trying to help someone keep their dogs by offering to watch them for a period of time while the owner worked some things out in life. Sadly, it has been months now and the original owner is no longer able to keep his dogs at all. We are working with our foster to find homes for Bruce and the other dog who was surrendered with him. They are not bonded and have pretty different energy levels, so we think they will honestly thrive in homes that are the right fit individually. Bruce is an adorable Rottweiler mix who we estimate to be around 5 years old. He is currently living in a home with 5 other dogs and he does great with everyone. He is such a calm, chill boy who is happy to relax and get plenty of naps. Bruce is actually a tripod boy – we don’t know his history and aren’t sure what happened where his back leg needed to be amputated, but he is definitely still loving life with 3 legs! He’s a bit of a potato in his foster home, and his fosters have said he is just such a happy, easy-going, cool dude. Bruce is potty-trained and kennel trained, though he may not need to be kenneled much depending on his new owners’ preference. He’s had a bed in his kennel without shredding it and has shown no destructive tendencies whatsoever. Prior to landing with our foster, Bruce lived in a home with special needs children, estimated to be around 6-8 years old, and did very well with them. We think he would have no issues in a home with children. He loves to chase his ball and gets very excited when you bring one out for him! He’ll try to jump up to get it even with only 3 legs, and though he isn’t the most graceful about it, he still has a heck of a good time playing. He’s a very friendly boy who loves everyone he meets and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. His exercise needs are pretty low, though we would recommend watching his weight with his missing limb to keep his mobility as good as possible – we estimate he is around 80lbs right now, but since he hasn’t had a weigh-in since joining us, we aren’t exactly sure how much this big boy weighs. Bruce is such a sweetheart, and we know he’s going to make a family so happy when we find the right one for him. Please fill out our adoption application if you think you’d be a good fit for this sweet boy! https://azhuskyrescue.com/adoption-application/

SWEET, Rottie Girl Seeks Home for the HolidaysAll dogs are located in southeast Arizona between Benson and Willcox just south of interstate 10. It is approximately 1 hour east of Tucson and 2 1/2 hours from Tempe. Please contact Carrie at fedwellfarm@yahoo.com or 602-316-8919 (no texts please) Sweets, whose official name she came to Fedwell Farm was changed to Sweets from CutieFly as she is the sweetest! Our volunteer suggested the name and Sweets just responded with a big grin. Sweets was picked up as a stray by the county animal control and when no one came to claim her, Fedwell Farm was asked if we would help her. We are so happy we did. She is a magnificent, sweet and wonderful girl. Sweets is approximately 5 years old. She weighs approximately 82 pounds. Sweets is very scared in new situations. She hangs back and waits for things to settle and then she is your best friend forever! Sweets walks well on a leash and just wants a family to love her. We are not 100 percent sure she is a Rottie mix, but we believe so. We specialize in herding dogs and hounds. Please come meet Sweets!!!!! She just wants a family to feel safe and loved. We would love to have Sweets in a home for the upcoming holidays! 602-316-8919 (no texts please)November 3, 2024, 7:21 am

Story
Hi! My name is Ruger, and I am a spunky, handsome, 4 year old, good doberboy looking for my furever family. I enjoy long walks on the beach, quiet nights at home with my family, a good meal, a warm bed and all the love I can get! If you are looking for a velcro Doberman, then look no further because this hunk of love likes to be right by your side. I am learning all about what it’s like to live in a nice warm (or cool in AZ) house. I enjoy the occasional bark at noises in the yard or things in the street, but it’s not excessive. I love to run in the yard and play with all of my toys. I especially love soccer balls! I am learning to be a good boy on a leash and love my weekly, medicated bath. I even jump in the bath tub all by myself. I will need someone who will be willing to continue my treatment for valley fever and give me a weekly bath (my fur was all gone but is slowly growing in). I like cats a little too much so I need to be in a cat free home. I need people who respect my space and I'm not sure I'd like tiny humans too much. I love my 12 year old human brother because he knows how to love me just the way I like it. I kind of like to be the boss of the other dogs so a slow intro is a must if I'm going to be around other dogs. I do get along well with my current doberbrother most of the time. I have been fully vetted, vaccinated, neutered and microchipped, and I'm ready to find my forever home. I know the perfect family is out there for me and I will patiently wait for you to find me. If you think I'm the one for you, please go to lovethemALLrescue.org/ruger to learn more and apply to adopt. I can't wait to meet you!
