Story
Meet Goober!Goober came to PACC originally as a bottle puppy without a mother, last year. He stayed in foster care until he was old enough for adoptions and then found a home! This sweet boy was unfortunately returned to PACC for being too puppy with his previous owners. He is a big boy and can get excited/jumpy and needs an adopter willing to work with that. His previous owners loved him and state `He is good with kids, would probably be better with kids older than 5. He gets excited but would never harm anyone. He is great with other dogs! We have another smaller older dog and he played well with that dog. He is a little timid and anxious but when you show him love all that goes away.He has allergies to chicken that causes rashes. He is good on a leash but does pull.He is a good dog and deserves a good home. `If interested in Goober, please email his foster parent fostermer19@yahoo.com

Story
In Transformers, Optimus Prime is the supreme robot commander of the Autobots in their fight against the Decepticons. Our Optimus is no robot, but he’s more than ready to transform from shelter pup to family member! Optimus is a gentle, sensitive boy who needs a little bit of time to build confidence and trust. Once he does, he’s devoted for life- a gentle, calm dog who wants nothing more than to sit by your side and enjoy gentle affection. And treats- he loves those too and takes them politely and gently from your hand. Here’s what some of his volunteer friends have said:“Wow, Optimus is really opening up! He was a little nervous at first in his kennel, but then came and sat down next to me and was easy to leash up. He was a nice walker over to the play yard. Once in the play yard Optimus sniffed around a little bit but mostly wanted to be by my side getting gentle pets. He`s a very sweet boy.”“Optimus is doing so well. He is a very nice walker on leash, sits for treats, and takes them gently.”“Optimus is doing very well. He loves neck and butt scratches, which can trigger a case of the zoomies. He is very treat motivated and playful.”Optimus shares his kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent and easygoing overall when meeting other dogs in playgroup. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit. Optimus would love to find a calm home where he can decompress from the stressful shelter and a family who will go at his pace while he settles in. In return, you get the best dog ever!! Please ask about Optimus today!

Story
Sweet little Nala, aka “Beautiful” or “Cutie Pie,” (as she’s been called by her volunteer friends) is an absolutely adorable young girl. At two years old, she’s the perfect age; she’s over the puppy shenanigans and still has plenty of calm, gentle energy. One of Nala’s volunteer friends shared:“Nala is the sweetest and most gentle girl. She’s easy to handle, doesn’t pull on her leash and is not reactive to other dogs. I’ve taken her and her kennelmate to a play yard a few times and she always waits patiently for her turn to exit. She loves affection and takes treats softly.”Nala has enjoyed a couple of foster vacations and her foster families had great things to say:“Nala is good with young children and small and large dogs. She is house and crate trained. She’s an affectionate couch potato who loves toys and knows tricks. She is an independent, very sweet dog who loves to play and listens well.”“Nala likes toys and loves to play with people. She is good on leash and calm overall. She’s a good dog.”Nala is food motivated, knows tricks, walks nicely on leash, and loves getting pets. In one foster home she did well with cats, but a proper dog/cat introduction is always important. Nala shares her kennel with another PACC pup and has been independent and easygoing when meeting other dogs in playgroup. She’d like to meet any potential furry roommates before heading home to ensure a good fit. If you’re re looking for a calm and gentle sweetheart who is loved by volunteers, staff and fosters alike, come meet Nala today!
